Yes money feeds into alot of it doesn't it - i want music lessons and these are £30 each  and i'd need at least 2 a month :eek: i can't afford them now but i can reassess how much i want them when i am debt free :)
Just noticed this - how long would you get for £30? On what
instrument? I'm a musician and teach pupils, so just curious :)

And about that girl - your OH is clearly interested in you and not her, and she seems a bit strange. I'd be trying to distance that relationship with her, if that's at all possible..

Hi SF :) Its clarinet and i think its 30 minutes  though i could be imaging that it may be an hour but definitely no more than that - do you play and do you live near me :D :rotfl::rotfl: i've not been able to afford 1 yet which is why i'm not sure on the length of time x

Oh yeah, i'm not bothered re. how OH is with her as he is easy to get on with - he has lots of female friends and some he even takes out for a meal without me - he's known them for years - this is just someone who he'd become friends with whilst dating me and has never gone out just the 2 of them. It was just that i was trying to be friends and the way she just didn't reply to my messages. At least when we all go out i'll know i'm not the one in the wrong with anything so i'll have no reason to feel awkward

  • Feel free to ignore this its just a situation i need to get out of my head and then i'll be ok about it. I'll give some background though i'm worried i may sound like a jealous thing but i think context helps and at least then i've got it all out!

DDFW, From reading all this, it seems clear that this girl has her eye on your OH and is being encouraged by her parents in this. But your OH does not seem interested in return, other than in a casual friendship kind of way. She is doing all the running.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother trying to pursue a friendship with her. As slowlyfading has said, she sounds rather strange. She seems rude and she clearly gets this from her parents, who are equally rude. Ignore the whole lot of them, other than remaining civil if you and OH are meeting up with her.

As an aside, people who insist on using their phones all the time when out socially should have the phones forcibly removed and dropped down a drain. Really, it is the height of rudeness and drives me insane.

£30 for 30 minutes?!   I used to play the clarinet - where do you live? :rotfl: seriously though, that's quite expensive I imagine, have a look around and see what there is near you - I bet there's more options and hopefully cheaper than that :) if you want to learn, go for it! I've taught a range of ages, and it brings happiness to everyone, I always like to think :)

  • I had yet another terrible nights sleep but had to drag myself up on time as i wanted to check banking and i have a parcel i *have* to post. left it to the last minute as i was waiting of other people paying up too - 1 i already agreed could pay at the end of the month so thats fine, 2 others have been in contact explaining various problems in paying - again fine, i don't mind if they contact me - and the last item i had to start a dispute on  why bid if you aren't going to pay ??

Yes, exactly, why bid, how very annoying. At least people are keeping in touch though which is better than nothing.

Sorry you had a sleepless night. You seem to be having more and more horrible days at work, hope you find something else soon. :(

No, she is the one who should feel awkward but she clearly has no sense of propriety or self-awareness. Throw her off-guard by being really smiley, friendly and confident but never ask her on any outings again. :D

Ah - that was my plan exactly ;) Glad it doesn't seem like i've come across as a very jealous type :o
