Hi everyone
Hoping for some help, as I've no idea with phones.
I want to get my better half an iphone 4 for Christmas however he has a contract with O2 and will want to have his number and everything. Is there anyway I can buy it and get his number sorted without him knowing.
Also can anyone point me in the right direction for buying, I know they're expensive so I'm hoping for somewhere through a cashback site :money:

Are you are just buying the handset without a contract?
He can just put his simcard in it on Christmas Day. Same number and contract. Make sure the contract has some sort of data package though.0 -

Not without a sim cutter, he can't.
To the OP...
Cashback deals on unlocked iPhones aren't great as the only place to buy them is through Apple. Topcashback (and possibly Quidco, too) do offer 3%, though. That's £14.97 back on a 16gb (£499) or £17.97 on a 32gb (£599). Apple were offering 6 months interest-free credit through their website, too, but I don't know if that is still available. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Yes as he already has a good contract with O2, so I know we wouldn't want it to increaseHe can just put his simcard in it on Christmas Day. Same number and contract. Make sure the contract has some sort of data package though.
Do they take a normal sim card aswell?! I've been looking online and everyone is talking about a micro sim
O2 won't discuss anything with me, as it's his contract. I've even tried the sales line and asked but it's as clear as mud. I've told them I want to buy it and pay for it immediately but it seems to be a big issue for them without a contract.

Yes sorry, I forgot the iPhone 4 takes a microsim.
Either o2 can supply one, or you can buy a kit to cut down the existing simcard.0 -
I just cut my sim card down with scissors and it works fine!0
