Skt tv £50 vouchers-are they a con

I have been interested in signing uop to Sky tv and have been researching on their website the cost for the package I require.

£51 p/m for full package with a free Sky+ box
£11.00 p/m for calls and broadband
Thats a total cost of £62.00 per month with two one off payments (1 for £30 for instalation etc to join Sky and the other £39 to set up phone and broadband because there is currently no line to the property)

I have received an email from a friend to reccomend me to Sky so that we both get £50 m&s vouchers. I have followed the link on the email and completed the online form in exactly the same way as I did above except when I go to check out i get the following breakdown.

£51 p/m for full package with a free Sky+ box

£49.00 one off cost for a Sky+ box

Has anyone else had this problem or am I being completely thick here but in the terms and conditions it clearly states Sky+ box free but on the check out page they have included the price of this. If I am to be charged £49.00 it defeats the object of £50 free m&s vouchers!
