  • Hi Gemma.

There is sooo many different kinds of childcare these days - Which can make it so hard on parents choosing the right one.
There is a wonderful webiste which can answer all of your questions, But i'm not sure if i can give the link.

However if you search:- Net mums - No space inbetween & register there you will find many registered childminders, nanny's, ad hocs, mothers & fathers helpers and even babysitters within your local area.

A registered provider will accept childcare vouchers. Many employers will offer this to assist with childcare payments.

Payments & Rates will all depend on where you are in the world.

When i was registered in S-london, You could easy pay £8 per hour.
    However,
Where i am now, The daily rate seems to be around £36 per day!

Please feel free to PM me, If you would like further advice. And please don't forget to ask for the following:-

    Registration Number from Ofsted
    NCMA details of approval
Insurance information - A OFSTED childcare provider MUST have this..
References - A good childminder or nanny will be more then happy to let you contact them directly!

Also, For a great provider they WILL have a waiting list of around 3-6 months. Don't let this get in the way, This will at least give you piece of mind your child is well looked after.

Hope i've helped! 10 years + in the trade!
