    Unless you are in one of the test areas, your renewal will be processed as normal. I'm not sure what else you mean?

    The the national reassessment programme is planned to run from Spring 2011 to March 2014 when IB claimants will be migrated to ESA via the WCA. So when your IB comes up for [normal] review instead of receiving an IB50 you're likely to receive an ESA50 and unlike IB there are far fewer exemptions from the WCA as there were under the PCA.

    I think what the poster/CAB mean is that from Jan 2011 (I think) then all IB claimants will be reassessed using the new ESA system. No further IB renewals will take place.

    WCA = Work Capability Assessment.

    PCA = Personal Capability Assessment.

    If you are due for review in 2012 you will be assessed against the ESA criteria rather than IB.

    But apparently if you will reach state pension age before 2014 you will be exempt from reassessment.
