Hi this is new to me i have just joined so I may not have grea advice like the others but what I can say is thats what you get good advice, support and everyone looking out for each other:o
Why was your debts passed on could you not sort things out with Lloyds or they didn't want to know?
Perhaps you could do what I was advised by many put a SOA on here and you will get lots of advise. Perhaps talking to CCCS would be a first step without know our full financial affairs don't know what to exactly suggest. But what i can tell you I certainly feel better over these last two days with the advice and support I have had even thou I am still scared to death :eek:I had 2 loans in 2005 with lloyds TSB, i was working full time and paying payments normaly in 2009 i was made redundant and am now on job seekers alllowance, my 2 loads have been passed on 1 to apex and 1 to iqor, the apex one i am paying monthly and thats going ok , i cant efford payments on the other loan and its been passed to iqor which sent me a letter saying full payment needed otherwise court and may send someone to get full payment themselves i am worrying like mad the money is for £3000 what can i do what will happen please please help

I am currently dealing with Iqor just now too, about my old student account with the bank of scotland. Have been paying them £15 a month since Jan, but recently they have been asking for more. Having to send them an income and expenditure sheet almost every month now, i just keep sending them the same one though.
They can be quite nasty on the phone, everytime i phone them to make my monthly payment they ask me to pay the full amount there and then. Even though they have a copy of my income infront of them, and they clearly see that i still a student and can't pay it all off at once!0 -
well im a panicing person me , they wont come my door will they and take stuff and that eek i live with me step dad . my family tells me £3000 is like pennys in debt its nothing to worry about r they right am i worrying to much0

They cant and wont take anything unless youve been to court, received a judgement and defaulted on that judgement.
The best thing you can possibly do is to inform them(in writing) of your situation and inform them you will be paying them £1 a month for the foreseeable future.
Someone will be back with a link to a letter but for the moment chill out, you are a long way from bailiffs or even court.
If you did get a judgement against you, you will only have to repay what you can afford and being as you are unemployed you'd probably only have to pay a £1 a month anyway.
They use the heavy heavy approach to try and bully you into payment.
Dont talk on the phone as they will spout allsorts and you have no proof of anything said.0 -
thanks alot man thats calmed me down i thought i was at the end when i saw the letter was scared also if i write to them saying £1 a month and they say no , what then sorry to be a pain0

Don't send them an I&E form - they've got no business knowing that. A court can insist you complete one - they can't.littlepinkstars44 wrote: »They can be quite nasty on the phone, everytime i phone them to make my monthly payment they ask me to pay the full amount there and then. Best thing to do there is not to speak to them on the phone. Use another method of payment where you don't have to speak to them - if £15 per month is a struggle, reduce the payment accordingly.
How old is this student account, and has there been a full 6 year period already elapsed before payments or you made any written acknowledgment of debt?0 -
Well you cant get water from a stone as they say. If they take action they take action, deal with it then but for th minute just keep paying them £1.
They will refuse and tell you, you have to pay more but by keeping paying the £1 a month you will be showing you are not avoiding the debt.
Have they sent something in writing?, if so this should have there details for payment if not just ask for it when you write. Just pay it every month and ignore there letters or just send a letter reminding them you are still unemployed and your situation hasnt changed.
They rely on the fact that people will do as you have and panic then find a way to pay when infact they have very little power.
I presume the debts are defaulted so the credit rating damage is done, all they can do now is ask you for money or take you to court which given your situation would be pointless but I know it does still happen.0 -
its my first letter off them Typed out letter i have an appoitment with cab thursday shell i tell her to tell them i will pay them £2 a month i writing ?
