CPW made no attempt to keep me!!

Options
My contract with cpw runs out next month having been with them for 10yrs and just rang through to retentions who asked why i was leaving (i told them the below deal im getting with o2 as a business customer - slightly exaggerated the data allowance said 1gb) and they made no attempt to offer me a better deal which i was shocked about and instead emailed me instructions how to get my pac code!!

Is this deal beatable?

Iphone 4 16gb
$34 pounds per month
800min anynetwork
unlimited landline + text
750 gb data
$110 for phone

24 month contract (upgrade after 12 months)

* pound signs not working.

I assume you mean 750mb and you exaggerated saying 1gb?

They won't offer you a deal on an iPhone, so no point wasting each others time haggling :)

iPhone deals are generally very similar between networks because the price is set by Apple.

Did you get an outstanding current deal? Do you regularly spend above your monthly line rental? It maybe they genuinely can't beat this or they have already taken a hit on your account this contract period.

:rotfl:You lied about the deal you were getting with O2 and still expected the CPW to beat it, love it!

They're not obliged to offer you something better than the "legitimate" offer you found elsewhere. You gave them details of the offer you found, they told you to go for it, I don't see the problem.

750GB of data? I would have to try very hard to use that on my 50Mb home connection, let alone a phone. :rotfl:

Make it realistic (ie. use a actual offer) next time.

    And to quote nickmack,

If you want a good deal, choose something other than a iPhone.

you dont realise when you stream videos/tv on the iphone it uses up alot of data, my brother regularly goes ova 2gb and he watched utube etc daily on his commute.

The offer was pretty much what o2 are offering me apart from the data allowance i said 1gb cos this is what i wanted.

And i know iphones are expensive but iv wanted one for ages (this will be my first internet phone) and even tho i can get the Torch on the same plan but almost half price, i need to the the Iphone out of my system!

Previous two posters: The OP clearly meant 750mb exaggerated to 1gb.

Cashbackproblems, I can use 2mb in 30 seconds, I suspect you mean 2gb.

The nearest I've seen to that is Three's £35 deal (retail not business) but even that isn't as good as what you've been offered. I'm not surprised CPW haven't tried to keep you.
