Hi Guys,

I am currently nearing the end of my 18month contract with Tmobile. I am due an upgrade in january, and can cancel my contract in February. I have the HTC Hero, and the last few months it has been a piece of !!!!. Regularly doesn't receive or send texts/calls/emails, drops calls, slow and crap (I have tried custom ROMs and upgraded firmware etc). After alot of research on the net and talking to friends with the same phone it seems it effects all the handsets. I just rang tmobile and told them this and asked if there was anything they could do and they said I could send it for repair which I definitely don't want to do, or buy out my contract which would cost £86.

I brought up that a third party contract seller (phones4u) offered to buy out my contract and take one with them, and said that if Tmobile could offer me an early upgrade (its only 2 months early!) I would happily stay with them for another 18months or so, but they said no.

What's the best thing to do in this situation? Should I say I want to buyout my contract and see if they offer me anything to keep me to stay? Or should I just go to phones4u for them to buyout my contract?

Any help greatly appreciated,

Cheers

You're not in a very good position for negotiation until you can give your 30 days notice. Is there another phone you can use until then?

Nah. Guess I'll just get phones4u to buy out my contract and get a new one then! Was wondering if Tmobile would put up abit of a fight if I said I was buying out my contract and going elsewhere?
