No. They said -0.3, it was 0.1...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I think some are missing the point of forex factory.
It is saying what the market expects, if it is worse = bad for currency, better = good for currency.
They are not saying I predict house prices to be X this month.
They are saying where the neutral point is of market expectation is. (well thats how I look at it)
So the market think a fall of 0.3% and if it was that it would have no affect on currency exchanges.
So sort of what is priced in to the market.0 -

agreed.
these forecasts are completely made up.
they probably just do something simple like extrapolating the last few months' worth of data.
the only thing i would take at all seriously is their prediction of the date the release will come out on [and they're quite often wrong with even that].FACT.0 -

I don't.
Doesn't matter what it's made up of. Whoever, or whatever makes up the data, has been consistently pretty wide of the mark of late, in terms of house prices.
The forex factory are not a group with their own predictions, and I think everyone realises that.0 -
My source is saying +2.3%. More signs of stability.Graham_Devon wrote: »Could be dangerous. They predicted +0.6 for Halifax, which was only 4% out.0 -
