Hi experts,
I got a Blackberry Pearl 3G in the middle of August 2010 free on contract with T-mobile.
The screen has started to come away from the phone. Is this an inherent fault and will T-mobile exchange it? Or will I have to cough up for a replacement/repair?
I dont have insurance on it but surely as its only a couple of months old they have to exchange? I havent broken it - its been coming away for a week but today its just hanging off.

Take it back to them. The will send it away and determine if its a fault with the phone or your fault. If its a fault with the phone they fix it if not its down to you. It may be a difficult one to prove either way.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Hi there, I am just wondering how you went with the loose screen. I also got my blackberry pearl 3G in about August 2010 and have noticed in the last couple of weeks that mine is coming away also. I went to telstra to see how I go about getting it fixed under warranty and they couldn't say either way as I "might have dropped it!"
and I haven't. If you were able to get it fixed under warranty where did you take it? Thanks

Can you try dealing direct with RIM for a repair?0

Are you sure it's the screen and not the cover? The Pearl 3g has a lens cover http://cnn.cn/shop/blackberry-pearl-91009105-black-lens-p-9087.html
This is what has probably started to come loose.0 -

I also got this phone in August 2010 and within 2 weeks the screen was coming away at the bottom. It looked as if the spots of glue was not sufficient to keep the screen in place. I took the phone back to the o2 shop where at first the assistant was suggesting it would not be replaced as it looked as if it was damaged and asked if it had been dropped. I assurred her it had not and at that stage she called the manager. The manager agreed it was very strange and he had seen nothing like it on a Blackberry. The phone was immediately exchanged for a new one.0
