  • I picked out a few items to Buy in my local store ( Uxbridge) - 2 items which came to 7 pounds ( found some bargains in their blue cross sale) and i was told i could not use the voucher as neither item was over £5 ?? I thought the voucher had no minimum spend ?
The miserable member of staff who turned out to be the supervisor didn't attempt to ask anyone else to clarify this despite it not being on the terms and conditions they wouldn't process the transaction.
They didn't seem very clued up on the vouchers at all ? don't the stores receive a detailed comms about new promotions ?

Anyway used my three unique email addresses to get some bargain eariings from warehouse ( £6) and some underwear - total spend £3 on three vouchers.

** Also one member of staff told me i couldn't use the voucher on concessions ( warehouse) ?? again didn't check with anyone just fobbed me off and said no... although i just went to another till and they said it was fine.

Has anyone else been told the voucher will not go through without spending £5 on any single item ?
  • What they are supposed to do is accept a spend under £5.00 and put the remaining balance on a gift card. I can see why some SA's are being funny about it. It's alot of effort on their part to 'give away' stock and faff around putting balances of very low value on a gift card.

The staff member who said it could not be used on concessions is correct, it's part of the T&Cs, unfortunately:(.

  • But i had spent £7 its just that both items were less than £5 each so they said they couldn't take £5 discount off ??
  • I think every store deals with these vouchers in different ways. Could you add some gift tags for £1.00 if it was a £4.00 spend, or a piece of sale jewellery for £2.00 if it was a £3.00 item?

Well I bought 2 x t shirts @ 2.20 each and a box of £1 Toy story chocolates and that went through fine! I have bought a number of items that added to £5 or over, singular items that were exactly £5 and items over £5 with no problems!

I know you can only have one voucher to spend in Debenhams. But the 15% off on line can you use this more then once, I have already received one order with the 15% off, I need some more things

Yes, I think you can use it more than once online.

I'm going to restrict myself to one voucher per visit now, will just have to go in every day till it's finished lol.

No idea. Give it a try I guess, worst that can happen is that the till refuses it. Good luck. HTH!

Wow, some of you seem to have trouble with the min spend part. When i went in yesterday, i saw another lady at the till using the voucher for something that cost £4.80. The SA called someone up, and then told the lady that it was okay, but she couldn't give her change. I guess different stores are doing things differently.
