I don't know if this has already been mentioned but here's a few bullet points regarding the voucher:

    1) Your receipt should have the last 4 digits of your voucher keyed in as 'gift card'. It would be something like *********0123. If the last 4 digits of your unique code/barcode are not present on the receipt, the voucher is pretty safe to use again as the sales assistant has most probably entered it as 'other voucher' or '100% price promise' (happened in my case) or something else.

    2) The amount you have to spend really depends on your sales assistant. I've spend £4.95 and £5.00 and have had no problems on both occasions, although some people have been reporting the need to buy something for £5.01 or over. Also, I've used one voucher with a sale item and another with the 20% off homeware so it seems they accept it even with other promotions.

    3) Regarding concessions, it seems the majority of concessions are OK, except Jane Norman, Dorothy Perkins and related Arcadia group concessions. I've had problems with these concessions in the past too, even with the vouchers Debenhams send through the post. Although, it really does depend on the SA. Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with these concessions, only to be told I can't use the voucher.

These are the questions most people seem to be asking so I hope this helps some you out there! Happy Debenhamsing!

I went to one counter with a half price bra for £8, but when it scanned the price was coming up as £4.80. I asked if I could get it for free with the voucher and was told that items have to be over £5 - ie you have to pay something towards the item.

Not disappointed as the bra was so cheap anyway I decided to get another the same to take me over the £5 mark. Then at the next counter I was told that the voucher couldn't be used on sale items. Anyway I challenged this as there was nothing in the T&C about that and got my two bargain bras!

  • If this offer is abused like this, it will be withdrawn and genuine shoppers will lose out! Do one for you & OH, but after that think twice!
Also how embarrassed will you be when security escort you upstairs for questioning in connection with fraud?!

I love MoneySaving & sometimes a cheeky bit extra, but doing this & encouraging others to do this is beyond silly!!

My family all live in rural wales. My mum, sis and gran have all asked me to find a few bits as stocking fillers so i think multiple voucher printing for things like this is ok as if they were here they would be using them in person but eys i do agree some people may go a little ott...on the other hand its getting people into the shop and this thread is free publicity about some of the deals they have on ;)
Need a new start..wheres good to live in the UK?!

Am I the only one who hasn't been able to get a voucher?
Both my wife and I have filled in the form, been promised the voucher, but it hasn't arrived. We've now done this several times.

I used two - one to buy a baby dress reduced to £5.25 in sale, so paid 25p. Another to buy a baby top which was £5 so free!
  • racey-Sometimes the Debenhams voucher ends up in my Spam box, so you could look there.
