To Thriftybynature:
Just come back from Nottingham Debs.
They weren't that keen on accepting the voucher but I think that was because they hadn't seen many of them.
I used 2 and went to separate tills. I spent extra money on each purchase so never actually got anything for free. The first till did reject my purchase saying that it was not accepted on concessions but when I went up to the 1st floor till, they accepted the same purchase no problem.
I then went to a different till for my second purchase.
They both keyed in the code on my vouchers and kept it behind the till so I doubt you could photocopy the same one and use it multiple times, as that unique code has been spent. They were put through as though they were gift vouchers.0 -
Are most people having to spend £5.01+ to get the voucher accepted then? I was hoping for a total freebie (haven't been yet) and I want to get my purchase through with as little fuss as possible, so I can go back later with another voucher.0

Well isn't life great!:j Trotted off to Debs at Romford. Bought a pack of 5 pairs of briefs for £6, so paid £1. No trouble with voucher.
Then went to the top floor, which was empty, and tried DHs voucher and DDs voucher at the same till. Got 2 x £2.50 Cadbury Choccy boxes with one voucher, and 2 towels, reduced from £7 each, to £3.50, then a further 20% off, for 60p. :T
It's just like printing fivers!!

No I haven't spent a penny, got all freebies.
The good thing is that, all the stuff I'm getting are supposed to be gifts for family members abroad when I go on holiday next year, so to be able to not spend a dime, yet make someone else happy, well it's awesome!0 -

I bought 2 lots of 3 Christmas tree decorations yesterday, they're on 3 for 2 so both sets were £5 at the till. Used one voucher in my OH's name, asked if I could also use one in my name and was told that was fine as long as they were different.
The till allowed them through even though there was nothing to pay. So 6 beautiful decorations for free
I think I got a nice SA!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Hope you are all having a great time spending your vouchers!!!
My haul today (didn't mean to go back till next week but had to check out the Lancome sharpeners situation):- Le Creuset cream utensil jar (£12) for £7
- Another Wallis scarf for my mum (£5 in the sale) - for FREE
- 2 more Cath Kidston mugs (£4 each) and assorted reduced Christmas cards, tags and bows (45p each) - for 20p and 50p
- Jasper Conran baby girl 2 pack of sleepsuits (£5) for FREE
- Jasper Conran unisex 3 pack of babygros (£9.50) for £4.50
I now have a set of 4 CK mugs for absolutely free, yippee.
I really fancy some more Le Creuset stuff. There are some really good Anolon Raymond Blanc knives reduced from £20 to £6 - I would be very tempted at £1 each but we already have a set of Viners knives so they are no good to me, and you're not supposed to buy knives as a gift apparently.
Thanks again Debenhams, see you next week for some more fun!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Thank you for reporting back - I shall try to find some bits and pieces for £5 exactly then and add them into my Christmas box.
I genuinely think I might end up getting people the most presents this year with having spent the least I've ever spent!0
