I printed mine today (the new ones without the barcodes) and got totes slipper sox for £1 (wanted them for ages but wasn't going to pay £6) a T shirt for OH for £1 and a set of 12 votive candles in glass holders for £3 - had been wanting them for ages for our wedding, but hadn't really wanted to spend £8 so £3 was a fab bargain! Also saw a Lego man torch/keyring that I want to get which will be £2 and there are some great Marmite Christmas gifts I might get too!
We'ree Lucky as we have 2 Debenhams in the city with 3 floors each, and there's me, my mum and my OH to go shopping with these vouchers all in time for Christmas!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Managed to use mine today. Of course there was initially a problem but the store had some printed instructions which I had a sneaky peek at.
Here's what they need to do :
"Follow the same procedure as you would for manually entering a gift card number" ... do not use "other voucher" as it is incorrect. If the number doesn't work (seems to be true of those with barcodes) omit the first two numbers (ie 97) - IIRC It will start 63...
As I recall they have to 1) total the trasaction, 2) do the gift card bit, and then 3) key in £5.00 as the balance to use from the gift card.
Sounds odd but it really should be gift card, not voucher. Many thanks OP.0 -
i managed to use 2 vouchers today. first no problem assistant accepted no hassle or Qs asked. Then i bought some other clothes and used a different till...lady there was pain.she took over 15mins asking every !!!!!!! other assistant that there must be a min. spend to accept this (my shopping total was £5.15) as she was not happy with my spend, till finally a supervisor okay it! Do sometimes is it worth it (the wait for over 15mins just to save £5) but anyway got some stuff in the sale!:)0

I've just had a quick look on the debenhams website and there are loads of items for £5 or less
e.g. 14 pages of dinnerware items
lots of kitchen utensils
candles and holders
top trumps card games
I'm sure you can find other things, I'm just looking for items where I don't need to actually hand over any cash!

I got a nice Whittards christmas coffee jar - which I will use for a raffle prize at an open day fundraiser event for a local animal sanctuary:)
It did not take long for the lady to work out payment, she gave me my voucher back which I still had in my hand when I went to get some foundation - sales lady there told me to use it and also added Beauty card points.
My Dad still has his voucher to use and I did send one to works email as I'd love another raffle prize to help the animal charity:T hope thats not greedy but is not for me but for the animals!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
