Try Avira or Avast. Both free and I have them installed across different machines. Not had any problems with either.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I have never had a virus whilst using AVG , mind you I have never used AVG , nor would I.I have sorted out two pcs with virus problems both using AVG, however the problems may just be User Error
. I would trust Alienrik's advice. I have used NIS 2011/0/09... on 3 pcs, and Avira one 1 and have just installed Avast on my netbook, however it has just said welcome to Avast, and sadly has installed google chrome so give me more time with this new version (by tomorrow it may be avira or MSE
) NIS is fine in the 2011/10 version less load etc(Used to be pants 2009 and before)
p.s. Use Firefox+NoScript and bin IE
Edit : Still waiting for Avast quick scan to finish, Norton 360 took less time :mad:4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 + Octopus Flux leccy0 -

It stops all scripts on a webpage by default which in turn prevents infection via websites
It also stops page redirects
Its a pain at first as you have to unlock webpages one by one. But they stay in memory so its not long before your sorted:idea:0 -
