First ones came 5 minutes ago. If it was up to me I wouldn't open the door! Mum's partner almost ran out of sweets just, apparently there was loads of kids there.

    Afternoon all,

Lunch was super, DW on, washed up what wouldn't go in it.

Decluttered my Dad back to his with his "packed lunches".

DD back to Farnham to Uni. Cats fed and watered and dirt trays done.

I'm going to [STRIKE]have a nap[/STRIKE] put my feet up for HH. ;)

I've got friends (both veggie) coming over for dinner next Saturday, and I'm not sure what to cook them. These are my current options (please let me know which you think sounds the best, bearing in mind that I'm out to lunch that day for a 1st birthday party too at 1pm - they are coming between at 6pm):

    1. Starter - HM curried butternut squash soup; Main - HM veggie chilli, jacket potatoes, sour cream & corn on the cob; Dessert - HM Lemon posset and shop ginger nut biscuits.
    2. No starter; Main - HM veggie toad in the hole, apple & onion cider gravy, mash & broccoli; Dessert - Delia's HM ginger & apple puds with cream.

So far, I've got 2 votes for option 1, one vote for option 1 but with the toad in the hole not jackets, one vote for soup and toad in the hole with no dessert. :rotfl:
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
