    Afternoon all,

Well I've spent most of the morning doing some research on the net, as I've got friends (both veggie) coming over for dinner next Saturday, and I'm not sure what to cook them. It'll be the first time they've been to our house, and the first time, I've fed friend with her husband. Was thinking of some traditional bonfire food, but wasn't sure what to do. These are my current options (please let me know which you think sounds the best, bearing in mind that I'm out to lunch that day for a 1st birthday party too at 1pm - they are coming between 6-7pm):

    1. Starter - HM curried butternut squash soup; Main - HM veggie chilli, jacket potatoes, sour cream & corn on the cob; Dessert - HM Lemon posset and shop ginger nut biscuits.
    2. No starter; Main - HM veggie toad in the hole, apple & onion cider gravy, mash & broccoli; Dessert - Delia's HM ginger & apple puds with cream.

Any other suggestions will be welcomed too.

Well I'd better go and have a shower and wash my hair. Another one having a lazy day today.

Hugs to all who need or want them, particularly tootles and LadyL.

PS. Lovely to see you both back greenbee and soappie.

  • sexymouse, id go with option 1, the chillie and soup could be done the night before. jacket potatoes done in the microwave to cook, then in the oven to crisp up.

ok in my HHC i have

    cleaned kitchen windows
    cleaned living room windows
    washed dishes
    made a loaf of bread
    cleared both desks of rubbish.
