Boo!
Thanks for the messages Frodders and everyone - Mudders, I still chuckle about ORF when I have a moment.
I'm sorry I'm not about much - just ridiculously busy and somewhat down in the dumps. Finances are dire and I'm doing 4 jobs just to try and keep my head above water financially - but it's not particularly working - but I haven't gone down for the third time yet so there's still hope.
Have applied for 4 permanent jobs and got knocked back each time. Ageism is still alive and well in the workplace!
Kids are fine.
BB is fine
Chickens are at the point of lay (next 3 weeks should see their first egg!)
Elderly cats are mostly fine though older one has been to the vet for treatment this week for a bladder infection (she's 12). She's perked up after some antibiotics.
I have two new members of the household - a pair of gorgeous ginger female kittens -about 14 weeks old. I'm only really fostering them (I have a maintenance agreement in place! Their food gets paid for each month..) BB has been extraordinarily gentle with them.
But, best go fetch my late dinner
Love and hugs and stuff to all.

pigpen continued thoughts and positive outcome vibes for A - very worryinging - I hope this next week flies by for her.
valli prayers for the lass and her parents- what a tragedy for her.
Dusty how sad too for those parents - what a thing to cope with.
Maxonian its great that your Dh has come through the op and is making good progress - long may it continue:T
Doozergirl maybe you need to be more strict, meaner, nastier :rotfl:some of the other ladies have confiscated things to get their off springs assistance or when asked to do a job if its not done properly and with a million requests!!!! And when asked to clean up their room if its left untouched give them an ultimatum that they have so many hours or days to get it done or you will go in with a black bag and bin everything that is not in its right place! And you must do it (but hide the full black bag to see if there is anything that needs to be rescued on the quiet!) as I said other Mums have aslo been banging their heads off thre walls so you are not alone but keep trying - its in everybodys interest!
lil_me thanks for sharing the photo - what a wonderful memory to have - sounds like it was a great holiday.

kazw some of these have already been mentioned i think - playing cards, dominoes, , backpack or messengere type bag, what about a caghoule or similar ina bag for downpours, a water bottle, small wind up clock( but it may attract attention from security) plastic envelope folders, shaving bits, comics/magazines, does he like any english football teams - get a calender of them or a baseball cap, photoframe, the obvious things like toiletries, tootbrushes, soap, sponges, hairbrush, mirror, a diary, wallet, a watch, boxers, magnifying glass, small hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, tape measure, christmas smelly candle........
mudders It will be lovely to have you back posting and helping you get your dream home the way you want it - its good to hear that stripes is doing ok - fingers crossed for a positive appointment on monday

shysarah its far better to get it over and done with now - just think you will be all healed and painfree for Christmas - now that cant be a bad thing??? make yourself a list of what you think needs to be done before you go in - tidy up, put meals in freezer, arrange easy things to do and most importantly what you might need while in hospital - you are lucky having your parents at hand so I am sure you will cope just fine.
Also thank you honey for your food science skills - that was a great explanation of rice -and now i have a further question on rice which i was just trying to find out about a couple of days ago.- if I make a paella or rissoto can i freeze leftovers and what about re-heating - I am trying to bulk cook again and wondered about rice things.
froddy (((hugs))) for you and your Mum - I know what you mean and it is infuriating - not so bad if its a minor thing but illness/ death etc I think should be shared - I hope her op goes to plan and the outcome is positive - will be thinking of you both - Well done to you for organising all the tickets - are they for next year or treats for now? loads of love and I hope you are feeling the benefit of your break.
raphael good to see you again and since it has been so long i will send you a welcome pm shortly.

Evening! I went to football this afternoon and we won again :T What a difference compared to how things were looking a week ago!Afternoon all! Did a good job of decluttering bare skin to make way for my first tattoo, it's stinging a bit though...x_raphael_xx wrote: »Hey Willow what tat did you get? Careful they are addictive! I've got my 13th booked in an loads more planned
Oooh Willow - exciting! Sounds great! They are definitely addictive - I need to get another - I know what I want but not where to put it!Froddy I forgot to say I'm envious of Bon Jovi and you're braver than me with the tickets, I sat on the websites to get some for a friend and it was awful! I did get 2, then got criticised by a now non fb friend for selling them at cost and not wanting to make money from them, needless to say now an EX fb friend! I would rather make a friend happy than make money!
Was that for Take That or Bon Jovi? I didn't get all those tickets yesterday - just the Take That ones. I totally agree with you - I wouldn't want to make money out of a friend. Well done you xfroddington - well done on your tickets! How long did you have to keep trying for the Take That ones?
I got mine at 10:40 yesterday morning but, having seen the news, I'm guessing that was quite lucky ....toottifrootti wrote: »froddy (((hugs))) for you and your Mum - I know what you mean and it is infuriating - not so bad if its a minor thing but illness/ death etc I think should be shared - I hope her op goes to plan and the outcome is positive - will be thinking of you both - Well done to you for organising all the tickets - are they for next year or treats for now? loads of love and I hope you are feeling the benefit of your break.
Thank you :A It's a day surgery appt. but a GA because of where it is in her mouth. She should be out aroudn 6pm.
As I said above, I didn't buy all those tickets yesterday - some I've had for months. Ash, Seth Lakeman and the Levellers are all in November, but Bon Jovi and Take That are next year (June and July). I am also going to see the Levellers again in March!
I hope you are looking after yourself and not wearing yourself out. Take care.
Love, hugs and prayers to you, Toots, and for L-L :A xx
soappie - good to see you popping in x
LW - hope all is ok; I will have to take some new ratty photos so you can see how much they've grown x"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
