Racists & Xenophobes: Threatening the economic prosperity of Britain.

This line that we cannot possibly cope without newcommers is a fantasy. We managed perfectly well to become the first to industrialise and be the engine of the world. Japan manages perfectly well.
It's a post 60's Liberal line that has somehow been adopted as reality.
Are we really suggesting that out of tens of millions of Brits we cannot find the right code monkey or lab rat handler?0 -
Notice Hamish hasnt come back to refute any of this.
Very poor trolling from him.0 -

The UK has over 2 million unemployed (and rising). I truly fail to see why it would be considered racist to suggest that maybe the door should be shut to non UK citizens (of any race) until we clear some of that joblessness.
You're right, that isn't a racist suggestion. But it isn't really a logical suggestion either.
We may have 2 million people unemployed but I doubt that many of them are physics lecturers, A&E doctors or similar jobs that we tend to have a shortage of skilled people to do, thus looking for people from abroad. Agree if what you're talking about is low-paid, low-skilled jobs, but it means it's a grey area, doesn't it?0 -
The problem is that we are all racist, me especially.
I believe that everyone should be treated equality whatever the sex, colour of skin, race they are.
Which in the eyes on the law, makes me a racist, as I dont believe in positive discrimination.
No agreeing with positive discrimination doesn't, in my opinion, mean that you are racist. You may not comply with certain aspects of employment law, but it doesn't mean you can be labelled a racist.0 -
is being gentlemanly towards a lady positive discrimination?
or should i let the door slam in her face to be 'neutral'!
The idea that if as a male you hold the door open for a female (or something similar) that they'll look at you in digust for being patronising or somewhat sexist is, in my humble opinion, a complete myth made up somewhere along the line.
It's good manners, in the right circumstances, to hold a door open for anyone and I've never been criticised by a single person for doing so.0 -
Just be yourself and treat everyone as you want to.
You'll soon find out if you're being offensive.

more great irony.0
