Tesco Credit Card

Is it just me or is it just very hard to be accepted for a Tesco Credit Card?!?

I've applied twice, once 5 months ago and just now. Obviously both times declined. I wouldn't say my personal circumstances are perfect but they definately aren't bad either.

I hear that these decisions can be appealed?

What is your financial situation, income, level of debt, available credit. Have you had any recent late or missed payments?
If you've applied 5 months ago and were declined this probably why as well you got declined again this time, some lender have a time limit between each applications....
  • Good income, 70% of credit used, no late payments, been at current address years. Can the decision be appealed? I'm not going to apply again for a Tesco card, but whens the best time to apply for another credit card?

70% of your credit available might be considered as high for some lenders and if your level of debt compare to income is over 50% to 60% is not good news either. If you've got only the Tesco search since the last few months then there is no harm trying to apply for another, if you've got several searches over the last 6 months, then I would wait 2 to 3 months before making another application

I was declined for a Tesco card but I appealed and sent them 3 months bank statements and ID. The appeal was successful.

I thought that Tesco's had a minimum period of eight months between applications?
My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

  • Well that's !!!!!!ed that. Is it worth appealing in this case?
