On Mobiles.co.uk they have a free Samsung Tocco Lite with a 24 month contract on orange, 300 mins any network/any time, unlimited texts + 500mb internet usage
Here's the weird bit though, it's £25/mo but you get 23 months free via redemption, so it works out like £1.04/mo
what's the catch

Probably that you have to sent lots of cash back claims within certain dates, meeting all their terms and conditions. Once mistake and you could end up paying £25x24=£600 for a phone worth £60 and a minutes/texts/data worth about £10-a-month.0

No mistake...and they make a huge profit from this even at that rate. The insurance contract and phone support is automatically taken out @ £9.28 per month. Many people won't cancel. You need to return the documents within a day or two of the dates mentioned on the redemption deal and many won't do that on time or they'll give up. You must pay ALL payments on time or you won't get anything back.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

It will work out IF you cliam as per the T&C's, ie:, the correct bill sent at the correct time (ad get it confirmed either by email confirmation if emailing your bill or by Royal Mail's "signed for").
Looks like we have a few members guessing, but it's very easy to cancel both the insurance and gadget support. I cancel ASAP as I'm not too bothered about the free initial insurance/gadget support (both 1st month free).
Firstly, it is WRONG that if you miss one claim, you miss them all. If you miss one, you just miss that one and claim the next as usual.
Secondly, you don't have to send your bill back within one or two days, you actually have 60 days from the requird bill date to get the bill there. I always do it in the first few days.
It is correct that you have to pay in full each month and you must have no arrears - you claim back your first claim 6 months after taking out your contract.
So, if you took ot a contract in October, you would send back your April 2011 bill for your first claim. A contract in November would need you to send back your May bill, and so on.
If you can both afford the initial monthly payments and be a bit methodical, you will succeed and get what is advertised.
***Also, if doing this deal, go via a cashback site like Topcashback for added value and your deal with not only be free, but you will show a profit (if all goes to plan).
Good luck.
