Constant crashes since installing IE7

It could be a coincidence but Internet Explorer freezes constantly and sometimes crashes without notice. Anyone got any thoughts about what to try or do.

I am tempted to uninstall and continue using IE6.??

I am using WinXP.

Cheers all.

What - it had a security hole in it last week, it's unsafe unlike IE which NEVER has any security problems

Hi, i'm still using IE6, and that's only *IF* i HAVE to....just for those internet banking accounts that don't allow other browsers. Just move on to another browser... unless you have to. Now for your problem, IE (6 or 7) is integrated into the main XP OS system, so uninstalling it could cause other major problems. Have you tried "system restore"? Not as bad as it sounds, just takes you back to before you installed IE7...Start-->Help-->Pick a task--> Stystem Restore---> pick a day from before you made the changes.

    twisting?:j

I do a few reformats and I'll generally stick Firefox on to anyone's pc with any computer competence.
For the ordinary punter it's IE 6.something.

Put another way, people who drive a BMW XBOX get IE6...

However, the code we presented did not in fact do this, and I personally have not gotten it to result in code execution, nor do I know of anyone who has."'

    Excuse me??

How do I know what and where the correct release candidate is?

I also agree it does have some great features, but there is one thing that is frustrating. When you click on a link in any given website the software opens up a new window - not a new tab!

    Can that be overriden?

Tools, internet options, tabs settings button, and set them how you like.
Or click your mouse wheel on the link you want to open.
