Our experience was not as nice as others! We had to wait about 15 mins while they checked various computers & then when we went to the collection desk they said that unless they were faulty we could not return them. This was actually printed on the receipts but we had already paid and by this stage we were just glad to be finally able to leave as there had been a long queue as well.
Does anyone know why this would be the case?0 -

I think it's standard in Argos that computer games and accessories are non returnable unless faulty I had the same problem when we double bought an Xbox game they only swap for the same title in case people play and return , not sure why it applies to accs though?MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0 -

Thats outrageous when it is clearly advertised on their website, and with a date the offer ends.
The manager may think 'its too good to be true' but if he knew his stuff he would realise its not Official Nintendo products, hence the price and offer.
You would think its costing them money from their own pockets sometimes when they treat you like this.0 -
I just told them a friend (White lie) had it honoured and they done it for me , shame some managers are such jobsworths.
The offer runs till January it's their mistake so why not honour it for everyone ?MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0 -
Just checked and it's still showing the glitch price??MSE- The Glitchhikers guide to the galaxy0

Thanks for that, I checked the t&c's and they don't mention accessories:- "Please note all video games consoles are excluded from the Argos 30 day money back guarantee. Please ensure you read the specification on the box before installation. We also cannot accept back video gaming software under our 30 day money back guarantee if the plastic wrapping has been unsealed – this does not affect your statutory rights.
- If a product is excluded from our 30-day money-back guarantee, it is clearly marked by a † next to the product name in the catalogue and on this website."

I picked up 2 sets this afternoon. Took a while in store as sales assistant checked it online first and phoned up customer services for authorisation. :j0

I thought I'd be clever and use the quick pay machine but it kept giving a total of over £35.00 so I went to the counter. ...
Same happened for me today. The manager checked online as I didn't take my printout and he only got it down to £29! So he has said that if I take the printout in tomorrow to prove my reserved price they will honour it  Good luck to those others that are trying.Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0
