PC not booting up - help needed please

    And when you press F8 on boot-up what other options are provided. There should be provided an Advanced Boot Options menu (this is without inserting any disc).

    the xp install auto-runs usually -- option to repair.

    I'm not having much luck with this....

    I put the XP re-install CD into drive but nothing is happening...

    Is it this CD or a Recovery CD that I need??

    Go into bios -when pc starts go into setup, it will say what to press at bottom of screen,usually del or f2 - then change boot order.

    Still doesn't seem to work - changed boot order but it doesn't boot up from the CD.
