I bought one from them and when I came to sell it found that I couldn't as it it had outstanding finance on it from the previous owner!
The upshot of this was that the only way I could sell/trade in the car without getting involved in legal hassle was to go back to them with it, and (unhappily) trade it in against another from them.
I once bought a car from a trader (not Fords) that turned out to have outstanding finance. I wrote to the finance house explaining I'd bought it in good faith from a dealer. They wrote back confirming that they relinquished ownership of the car and it was mine to do with as I wished. One letter not a lot of legal hassle.0 -
You were lucky!
The finance company involved were not so accommodating as yours!0 -
Be careful, most of their stock are ex hire and rental cars with no service history as such manufacturer warranties are suspect
Best compare their deal with a main agent before commiting0 -

I've had an ex-motability from there. I believe they do a lot of those too.0

Well having bought a 59 plate Focus from them in February and having an EGR valve failure and then a major oil leak and having to pay my Ford dealer £750 was no fun when I was told Ford UK wouldn't honour the warranty due to lack of service records0

I was told by the showroom manager that the warranty was transferable because the car came from Provincial Securities a large leasing company and was therfore serviced 'in house' there would be no problem - he's no longer working for them, so i'm stuffed0
