please help!

for a few weeks now ive not been able to play or see certain videos or pictures on my pc
i can watch some things but others just have a small box with coloured shapes where the pic/vid should be
ive got the latest flash and java installed so what else could it be?
i dont understand why some things work but others dont!
im on vista and IE8

are u viewing these in a browser and.or a media player?? Can u try an alternative browser to IE?? Such as Firefox or Chrome??

yeah but think im just comfy with IE lol

well one is on yahoo at the moment, its not a movie but the title says 'worst cover versions ever'

No problems at all with FF. Strange, and u have re-installed Flash player ??

u could try IE9 beta, but I would not touch IE with a barge-pole.
