Which tablet did you get Dinah? Love the advert for the Blackberry one where they play 'Flash ahahhhhh', makes me giggle!

Was your story about the vintage fabric a hint for Tete?! ;)

    Here's my list :)

Nope, still no ebay account for me. Mum and NIM have them though!

I got a Dell Inspiron Duo - it's a tablet which flips open and has a full keyboard. It hasn't got the most accurate touchscreen though, although apparently it can be calibrated to your touch. I really didn't want an ipad as I hate Macs, but I didn't want a tiny screen or poor processor, so this seemed the best option for me, although I would certainly have considered the blackberry if it had been more widely available.

My day zero is at 13%. Could probably get it to about 20% if I cut it down from 135 to 101!

ETA: Argh, just added another one to my list!

Oooh that Dell looks pretty snazzy, I like the idea of it having the keyboard, as good as a touch screen is, you can't beat typing on proper buttons IMO. We're not Mac people either so it's good that there are impressive alternatives out there now, not that we're in a position to buy one!

Stop adding to the list! It's supposed to be going down! ;)

Oooh, listed my Wii games on Amazon last night and 3 have already sold! When you say you 'wrap' parcels Dinah, how do you do them? Do you wrap in brown paper or in jiffy bags? I used to send everything in jiffy bags I'd 'borrowed' from work, but can't do that now! :)

Depnds on the item. Books/DVDs we wrap in brown paper, clothes or breakables get an envelope. We actually buy a lot of those A4 unpadded envelopes (just the ones you'd send paper in you didn't want to fold - it's so cheap and really easy to drop a book in it then just fold it over and tape down the edge rather than having to cut the paper and wrap it like a pressie.

Flower - If you've got a Tesco nearby they have really nice shortbread biscuits for 20p for the base. The value range - sometimes they go down to 7p and I don't hear the end of it from Man Upstairs as he's obsessed with them!

Here's my list. My list isn't big things or impressive. My Sister laughed and said it suited me perfectly against hers (she keeps hers in a notepad) hers are all big like backpacking around europe, living in America ect. Mine are all little homely things! 'set up the spare rooms' 'make butter' :rotfl:

You could always make another list Dinah. Have like an adventure and new things one, then have a home and family one? I think I remember your list being a mix of those two anyways!

I'm only good at painting and tidying up Birdie! My Brother is a jack of all trades kind of guy, so I can call on him for most stuff in trade for a meal or some cake :D Which is good as while OH tries, he's a little slop dosh!

I always send games/dvds in the padded thingies. I think it's like £1 for 4 'game' sized ones in Wilkos. But when I ran out last time I just cut a bit of card to make a sleeve to put the dvd in, then used brown paper. Or do what Dinah said! As long as it's sturdy, I'm happy to send it. Well done on the sales too!

Darling, isnt you telling people the packing is easy a bit ironic?

Goodness, another game's just sold! OH told me off for listing them all last night as he wanted to just sell everything as a bundle for £100 at work but I said we'd get more money by selling the games separately as we'd still get about £100 for the console, wii sports resort and wii fit balance board... bwahahaha... £52.74 in one morning, not too shabby!!! :D

Good idea about getting the normal envelopes rather than wrapping in paper. Will have to see what our cheapy shops are selling and go for the cheapest option.

Good idea about splitting Dinah's lists Cinny. Mine isn't too adventurous either, I knew it'd have to be achievable! Mine's a lot of crafty stuff which I really need to pull my finger out and start working on!

    Good going there Birdie.

Looks like I've just had £45 from some MSing I did last month, and D should be getting some in today aswel...although I did the shops. Although it does help get the good jobs more regularly when both of us do it. Got a run lined up for Saturday with a company I've not worked with before to get me eyes checked like 12 times so yet another marathon.

How is everyone elses morning going?

    Oh snap!

That's a great amount of sales Birdie! I need to get OH to sort through our games as there are some we haven't even touched yet.

My morning's going well thanks NIM! Looking at bathroom suites and they're all starting to look the same, and I can't remember what I have and haven't looked at. My Cousin got everything for his for £700 so he's going to get me the details.

Finish my office work for the week in 50 mins though. Then home to painting! OH is home all night so we'll actually get a none rushed meal together. I've just got beef paste and ketchup sandwiches on the mind though. And cherry tango!

Speaking on fizz. Don't you have a single discount shop near you Dinah? Just the one in my village sells diet coke at 4 for £1 and red bull at 2 for £1. If you have any typically poorer areas near you that you could have a scout in you might get lucky and save a little? Failing the time for that, I know Home Bargain sells them both cheaply. Just an idea for saving a few pennies, I know you can't really give them up if that's what's keeping you ticking.
