Found one razor blade still in the box, thought it was empty - problem solved! Although I did manage to srub the whole top layer of my skin off so very raw now!
Did my goo kharma deed yesterday, found a blackberry on the train station bench and I handed it in (even though I had to go to the customer service desk 12 platforms away and had to run for my train as the others aren't allowed to take lost property!)
Good luck to all Srallengeing today. NIM and I are off for the airport in about half an hour, but will do it on Monday.
Thanks Zig. Oddly we're not actually that sressed that we're skint! We'd like to be able to do more or finish the house, but we're confident the business is worth the skintness right now!
Haven't read page 175 or 176 yet but I need to be off so posting now. See you on Monday (although I have my dongle with me so might be on over the weekend) xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Birdie- hehe about the harry potter shop, can imagine you going mad in there. I saw an advert for it earlier, really does look good.
tete - good idea about the dresses! OH said just sell them if she can't wear them and i said well we can always keep them for the next baby and he looked at me like i was mad haha.
7lb sounds like a good target. With the shallenge and healthy eating should be achievable!
Have a great weekend Dinah and NIM. Very good of you to hand the phone in, hope something nice happens to you in return.
I am just back from town, swapped my dress for next size up and tried on so it does fit. Picked up my hangers and the other parcel was a free bottle from avent, very good but am struggling to get Poppy to take a bottle which is a pain as am supposed to be going out for a friends birthday for a meal end of July. She has had a bottle before but is not interested now.
When i got back checked the post again and apparently missed another parcel but was at 10am and i was in. Won't be able to get that till tomorrow or monday though grr.0 -
I thought you meant a blackberry as in fruit for a minute, was confused! :rotfl: Very good karma indeed, wish there were more people like you!
Have a lovely weekend!
About to make my first spending diary entry of the month, £1.05 on a couple of chocolate bars to cheer OH up; he's really flagging now after his 11 days at work (which is hard when it's a manual job!) which is why he was grouchy yesterday, and I think he's on his man-period to boot hence the need for chocolate! Left him with a face full of Double Decker and a smile though! Since when did chocolate bars become so expensive though?!
ETA: Crossed posts with Wendz! I'm sure you'll have her sorted with the bottle by the end of the month, she's so little still, a month is like a third of her life so far, who knows what progress she'll make in that time!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
It's worth keeping the clothes though Wendz, the next baby will come around faster than you think, my friends who are having their second boy are so relieved at the amount they'll save on clothes for him.
If she won't take a bottle, have you tried a cup? My friend's 4 month old is starting to use a cup thing now as she wouldn't have a bottle - not sure if she's having milk in it or just water though?
Are you diarying too Birdie? I was bad at lunchtime (money wise and diet wise) - £1 on a Greggs, 68p on a Flake yoghurt, £1 Pringles (though £1.36 cheaper than Tesco!!), £1.27 on a 3-pack Milka Daim bars. BUT I resisted the amazing old Singer sewing machine in the charity shop for £20, it was one of the old painted ones with the hand-turned wheel and everything. I might crack before the day's out...
Have a brill weekend Dinah and NIM! xWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Happy Friday all.
My brain is frazzled trying to keep up with everyone so bear with me! Happy shrallenging everyone that is doing it. Hope it goes well.
Have a great time in Ireland Dinah and NIM!
Wendz- Have you tried Poppy with the bottle when she is really hungry or really tired. She might take it when she is either. Just a thought? Max was the opposite - he wouldn't latch on to breastfeed. I tried nipple shields, bottle caps, syringes etc before I gave in and just expressed until the milk ran out.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Tete you have to go back for that Singer!
I'm going to try to keep a spending diary in my filofax, actually entering the spends into each day on the diary and there's a little pocket I can keep receipts in. I use it anyway so I'll not be carrying anything new around and I hope I'll keep up with it this time!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
You're such an enabler! I'm torn because it's lovely, but it is a bit battered and I have nowhere to put it...
I'm going to do a spreadsheet I think and have different colours for the unavoidable spends (petrol etc), the spends I don't mind which would be maybe a meal out with a friend I haven't seen for a while, and the spends that have to stop eg what I've spent today!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Tete - think i will try her with a cup when she is about 4 months if she struggles with bottle still.
CMD - will try that , got a habit of feeding her quite often so don't think she gets that hungry very often. Babies are funny aren't they. They do the opposite to what you want them to.
Birdie - hopefully we will get there! My mum will bebabysitting and she doesn't seem too worried although said me and sis wouldn't have a bottle either when we were babies...
The spending diaries sound good. I should start one really especialy as my pay will significantly drop next month. I like the colour co-ordinated idea too!0 -

Yeah - they are funny little things. They aren't predictable anyway!
Has your OH tried her with the bottle? If she can smell the milk from you that might be distracting her too. Maybe he could try her in a darkened room and see what happens.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Christ, I didn't know babies had some vampire-style smell senses! The little baby hangers sound so cute, but a pain with your Postie. I heard some of them don't even take parcels out with them now, just leave them at the depot and write the 'sorry we missed you' cards before they set off.
Birdie - OH starts his new job on the 11thWas meant to be the 3rd, but I don't think they got enough people in for the training from the first round of interviews so pushed it back? But thanks for the thought!
Be strong over the sewing machine Tete! My Mum has one, and they are pretty but think of your own little place. And how you'll be able to buy yourself one there, when you've got the room and it can have all the attention it deservesSpending diary sounds like a good idea, I might start one for July too. Today I've spent £15.59, mix of the food shop and some bits for OH. I. however, got nothing
Chocolate is expensive isn't it Birdie! One of the discount shops in my village sells 3 standard size bars of galaxy for £1 though, or 5 bags of minstrels for £1  I wish they wouldn't, at least when it's expensive I have a solid reason not to buy it.
Off to look at my Brother's new place. The guy who said he'd move out when he's 40+ has suddenly decided he wants his own place. It's just on the main road my little street comes off of so I'll be able to bug him when OH's at work, although it does mean I've been roped in for painting duty. Blah! ETA: Don't know if I've mentioned that or not actually!
Most likely to late too say but have a good weekend Dinah!0
