Dinah - hope the budgeting goes well this month, is a good idea to try different ways to manage your money.
Birdie - love the hen do piccies, you look gorgeous!
Tete - glad you enjoyed the cinema. That sounds worrying about your job, hope it is OK.
CMD - sounds like things are all coming together for Scotland! I can't believe Max is nearly one too!
Hello to everyone else. Hope everyone had a good weekend. I went to Devon to visit a couple of friends from uni. Didn't do too much but went on a shopping trip and had a wii night last night. I was doing the dance game, was so much fun but i must look funny 6 months pregnant. Managed not to spend too much although petrol was a lot eek!0 -

Groceries are more than £30 a week here. We set aside £150 a month, but usually this is around £50 extra.
Eh? I'm sleepy so my head might be reading it wrong but you set aside £150 a month for food when you know it's going to be £50 more than that? If I've read it wrong set me straight, but that's a little backwards!
Lara - Holly looks so sweet, and that's a lovely name for her! My Mr Pip is terrible with loud noises too, always has been!0 -
Lol we're new to budgetting! We set aside £150, but it's usually between £10-£60 more, but I've tried giving us £200 and its still over! I just think we eat into the spending money because its there and there is no line between spends and food.
Been working on the business a bit today, registered the UK and US domain name (had to get it with hypens in as the unhyphened version was registered although not used in both). I've got a gmail account for it until I commission the website. I've done a bit of work on the book structure too. Now I need to set up an ebay, etsy and paypal account to sell some initial samples through again until I set up the main website, just to raise some funds to go towards the costs of developing the next round of samples and so on. Grandma dying has reminded me how short life really is, and knowing how miserable I am in my job I need to do everything I can to make my life as happy as possible. Scared of failing at this tbh, but excited that it might work.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Holly looks beautiful. She may get used to the loud noises and come out from behind the sofa.
Dinah - I am sure you will get there with your business. Mrs Poolie is finding things tough at the moment which is why she had me change her shoes business website to cover about 8 languages! All weekend it has taken but we are now multilingual. She has had about £200 worth of orders just today! I can see me living in the post office this week if that continues.0
