Thanks Zig! And I think the only things we'll need are a sofa and a table really! But to be honest we'll be renting to start with so might be able to find somewhere part furnished so wont need to buy them!

    Happy New Year everybody.

Back from my parents today. Missed the earthquake in the North East (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-12109625)

Left about 2:45 and got back about 7:50 and didn't stop once. Should have done but you know what it is like. You get started and suddenly you pass Sheffield, then Nottingham and Leicester. Thought about Watford Gap as I went past it and onto the M25 soon followed by the M4, Windsor and home (via the Petrol station before Osbourne's VAT increase comes in).

Have sorted out Mrs Poolie's shoe business so they are all sitting out on the packing slips waiting on her getting back on Wednesday morning (@ 04:50am!).

Had a chat with her earlier in the week via Skype and we are thinking about a week's holiday in Feb if we can get something reasonable from Thomson's in a 4 or 5 rated hotel. Mrs Poolie would love to go on a cruise for a week so will need to go and pick up a brouchure and see what the damage would be.

Planning on putting the car insurance on the credit card this year rather than paying it using the monthly installments we have done the last few years due to finances. Easier to pay it off on the credit card.

I totally missed the earthquake! And I'm right in the epicentre! I must have a really sturdy building... or I must have been really tired after doing The Shred and blanked out for a minute whilst it was happening! :rotfl:

Lol Birdie, that's how they should advertise it - "the Shred makes you tough enough to withstand earthquakes!"

I got out my mat and weights this morning, so session one is tonight!

Poolie, I think you definitely deserve a holiday, especially as you didn't get to spend Christmas with Mrs P! You've done so well with your debt busting, it must be nice to watch savings build up :)

PS. Forget to say yesterday HI to Ruby, Nym and Nat :D

ETA: Thanks Birdie for hard drive recommendation - the bestseller on Amazon is a 1TB drive for the same price so might go for that. I don't think we need a portable one, though also don't think we need 1TB! Better start taking those photos :)

I was going to do The Shred. But I won't lie, Jillian Michaels scares me. Good luck to all you girls taking it on!

Zig, I know I won't regret the iPhone. We both keep on telling each other we're getting them like it's all brand new er, news! :D Is Dexter good? I've wanted to watch it for a while now but I've never caught it. Me and OH are addicted to Ghost Hunters (TAPS) atm, OH has decided he wants to be a Ghost Hunter now. Bless.

Poolie - The holiday sounds like a good plan! Hope you're able to find a decent priced cruise, I'd love for me and OH to go on one when we're a [STRIKE]little[/STRIKE]lot better off.

But don't be calling it Osbournes VAT rise! Labour said when they pointlessly put the VAT down last year it would have to go up the following year.

Jillian is scary, but she motivates me! When I was flagging she told me off and I kept going!

Dexter is really good, when I was off work last August I watched every season, its really good stuff! That reminds me that I've got a few new episodes to catch up on!

Poddle, when I bought my trusty little hard drive I don't think I could even get a 1TB one! Now there's a real challenge, to fill it! :)

YOu just reminded me I had the shred dvd! Might make a bit of a change to the wii fit, it can get a bit boring sometimes.

    Hi Everyone

I managed to spend loads in the sales as my niece and nephew both have birthdays in Jan and I bought my friend who is skint some nice reduced undies from Accessorize. But only bought myself some PJs with penguins on yay! And a rather unglamorous Ped Egg for shaving all those hard bits off my feet :( (sorry probably TMI!). Also a giant bow necklance 70% off from Accessorize. So not too hard done by. But I thought the sales were quite rubbish this year - I didn't see anything amazing, and the reductions were a bit stingy I thought.

But I am the wrong shape for the clothes in the shops at the moment as I have Thunder Thighs. That nude colour is quite hard to wear too. It's a wee bit draining. I need to overhaul the wardrobe too - I hear the Gok Wan capsule wardrobe thing is good - anyone got his book?

When I first read this I thought it was a post by Poolie lol.

    Happy New Year everyone.

I like your aim Dinah to make everything more simple. I have decluttered my room and am aiming to have it all added to ebay by end of month.

What things have you sold that have made the most profit??

I’m back and more determined than ever!!!!!

I love Gok Wan. You can get his book pretty cheap on Ebay or Amazon. As long as you know your body type then his books are great.
