OMG - I just had my basket filled again before sense came to me, i do not want or need anymore eyeshadow, I need to step away from the computer, but so want to feel that I have got a bargain, but of course its only a bargain if I need it. but then again would get 3000 points on a 50 pound spend, so could then use the points to buy xmas pressies which I would have to buy anyway so would end up with free eyeshadow - wouldn't I????

if youre putting so much thought into it-you dont need it :)

£50 spend-£30 points would still=£20 on eyeshadow, regardless of when/how u spend the points.

Plus remember the points you would earn when buying the xmas pressies (your dont earn points when youre spending them)

Probably like dozens of others on here, I spent hours playing around adding items to see what worked.

From my extensive research :p I found.
    1) Mascara, eye makeup remover and eye liner boxed set £20...... did not work
    2) Mascara £20, did work
    3) Gift set of lip juicey things ...... did not work
    4) With all cheapest items now oos, cheapest items are around the £20 mark.
Therefore, for example, purchasing 6 items included in offer will get you 3 x 2000 = 6000
Extra 1000 points for over £50 spend
    Extra 1000 points for another £50 spend (i.e £100)
Extra 1000 points for using code wys over £100 on line.

Plus of course the points for the actual monetary value that you have spent 4 x 120 = 480...... but for some reason I don't seem to have got ALL these.... anyone else have a discrepancy ?
Total for £120 is therefore 9480 points.

Plus any cash back from Quidco or whatever.

Anyone see anything wrong with this logic/maths ?

YES you have got them all. Your maths is right.
All points in red add up to 9480.

  • I've just put mine through. Both items I use and needed replacing, the cils booster and mascara. Added a few baby bits to take it to £50 and got 3010 points. Went through TCB as well, so will get some cashback. Let's just hope all these points are honoured! Since finding this section on the MSE website I seem to be saving lots, but am I spending more?!?!?!?!? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks to Claire21 and Elliemoo for the thread :T

Your maths are tight BUT the 1000 points already include the 200 spend points, the offer of a 1000 points on a £50 spend is really only an extra 800points, so you'd only get points on the extra £'s after £100, if that makes sense.

9080 is what you should get.

Thanks..... I couldn't work out why I didn't seem to get ALL the points for the actual spend as well.

I didn't post to 'brag' about point I managed to get ccmummy, or how clever I am....I seriously am not:D, but to try and help explain to the late-comers why they might not be getting the same level of points and/or cheap deals as mentioned on the first few pages.
    1) All the cheapest items now oos
    2) Not ALL Lancome items trigger the 2000 extra points.

You have to have patience (web site also tends to go slow and/or crash as I discovered last night !!) AND play around to see that for every 2 lancome products your basket shows 2000+ points.
If it doesn't, go back and add something else, and work out what is not working.
I found out about mascasa and lip box sets, but there may be other items which don't work.
    hth;)
