Some signal loss after roof repair

Hi folks
I have the basic Sky Freesat.
Following extensive roof repairs, I am getting occasional picture break up on one or two channels - channel 5 and some less used ones.
Could it be dust on the dish or maybe it was moved at bit?
I don't understand this as all channels get signal from the Astra satellite. So if one is affected, shouldn't they all be?
Cheers

Dish moved out of alignment is the most likely cause-only takes a bit of movement. Any dust would not really matter and be removed by a bit of rain. Some channels are stronger than others so a weaker or poorer quality signal strength will have variable effects on different channels.
Have a look at the diagnostic mode on your digibox to see what figures it's showing.
Cable or LNB damage would most likely cause problems on all channels. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I agree, it sounds like a roofer has nudged the dish slightly out of alignment. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

Agreed, it seems like the contractors have moved your dish, it only needs to moved very slightly to give the results that you describe.0

Yeah must likely nudged, even done it my self doesn't take much and a ladder whacking it has some force.
But could be damage even a small dent can destroy the signal.0 -

You don't they come from Astra 2A, B and D at 28.2e and Eurobird 1 at 28.5e so as stated above a slight movement of the dish could be the source of the issue.0 -
Thanks peeps.
So if you were me, would you ask the roofers to come back and try to sort it?
I'm just anxious they make it worse.0 -
I would ask tell the roofers to pay for a satellite installer to re-align your dish.

OP have you checked the signal strength/quality using your Sky box services menu? That gum you like is coming back in style.0
