It sounds like quite a good deal. It sometimes can be cheaper paying for part of the phone up front, especially with VAT going up next year. I always work out what my monthly tarif will be including the price of the phone by dividing the phone price by the number of months in your contract and adding it to your tarif. In your case you'll be paying £23.88 per month effectively (not including VAT rise)

I'd check what the "unlimited" internet is too. I don't know what the Three fair use policy is. Most give you around 500Mb. Check what happens if you go over your fair use. Sometimes they'll notify you and may slow you down or ask you to pay more. Some policies will automatically charge you if you go over. i don't know what kind of user you are, but I use my phone for Google Maps, email, video etc and I currently on my Windows Mobile phone get throigh 300Mb no problem. I do know that Android eats data, and so I'm looking for a fair usage policy that is more than 500Mb.

The HTC Desire HD isn't out yet on Orange, but they offered me a good deal on an HTC Mozart so I reckon they'll be able to offer me a good deal when the Desire HD comes out. It was £20 per month for 600mins, 3000 texts, 750Mb ("unlimited") data with a free phone.
