You can get a better deal on Sky's own website and receive £50 M&S vouchers here

Have editted my post as Sky have a better deal on their own website.

The deals are both for a Sky+HD box in one room and a second non HD box in a second room. A standard installation is included - i.e. a dish and cabling to the two required rooms and connection of both boxes to the same landline telephone socket. The HD will record all the free channels and any subscription channels you choose to subscribe to and allows recording of one channel and viewing another OR recording two channels and viewing a previous recording. The SD (non HD) receiver in the second room will allow viewing (but not recording on itself) of all the free channels and the non HD channels you subscribe to. The minimum ongoing subscription is £39 per month.

Thanks very much for explaining :)

I know this is an old thread but wanted confirmation as to why this isn't a good deal for me.

I currently have Sky+ and a Multiroom Subscription. Wouldn't this prove a cost effective way of upgrading the Sky+ box to a HD model which I may use in the future as well as getting the Multiroom element for effectively half price for a year.

Do I have to also take out a HD package which I couldn't use?

Read the terms and conditions - it reuires you to take an additional new multiroom subscription and cannot be applied to existing multiroom subscriptions.
