Tv licence agent threatening behaviour

I have not had a TV for about 5 years yet I still constantly get reminding and warning letters. The TV inspector has been around 3 times in the last month alone (always in the day when I am at work). I have tried to phone them to tell them I do not have a TV but they say they will still come and check as it seems some people say they don't have a TV when they do!
So, in other words, it is completely a waste of time telling them you don't have a TV as they do not believe you and still send their inspectors arround. It is truely a case of them accussing you to be a criminal who uses a TV without a licence. They just don't seem to think that some of us do not want a TV !!
You could perhaps send a civil email/letter in which you point out that you are happy for them to come and check if they so insist but point out that they are completely wasting their own time at the moment as you will never be in Mon-Fri 8am - 6pm (or whatever your times are)0 -

Why not?
What is your problem? There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I've decided that there are too many murders in this country, especially stabbings. So on the basis of that I can reasonably assume that everyone with knives will probably be stabbing people and breaking the law.
My job is to go round everyone's house, and remind them that it's against the law to stab people. I will try to enter every home and inspect them for evidence of stabbing. If i see knives I will try to see if the knives could stab a person. If they can, then I will use my imaginary authority to caution the householder, take a statement then take them to court because they own the equipment to break the law.
Sound reasonable? Thats what we are expected to put up with.
When will this ridiculous farse of a law be overturned?!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Technically, that's true as the people with the powers of moderators are called 'admins', here.
However, that does not mean that some random member cannot take it upon themselves to behave as if they thought they were a moderator. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Chill out guys.
If someone had made a thread about this subject they would have been told 'there are loads of other threads like this! Do a search!'
So no complaining when people keep subjects in previously created threads.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Quite right.
If the site's owners thought there was a problem with old threads being dragged up they could automatically lock them after a certain period of inactivity (as some sites actually do).
It's hard to see what the objection is, anyway. If there is past information about a subject it may be relevant and it makes sense to keep it all together. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0
