Sick of waiting for mortgage offer!!

Agree that you need to keep ringing.
We assumed ours was going through fine, took forever and a phone call revealed they were still waiting for some of our paperwork:eek:
Ended up going on a wild goose chase with tax office and finally got it sorted, but the process took 3 months instead of 1 because mortgage company never bothered to let us know we needed to send more stuff.:mad:Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Took us ages to get our mortgage offer from RBS, very frustrating 6 weeks from date of sending in our application to receiving the mortgage offer! So I understand your frustration, I was in tears everytime the sellers EA called to check for an update and I had to tell them time and time again that we still haven't got our offer! Looks like most lenders are taking longer than usual to process the applications at the moment, busy time of the year my broker told me.
I don't really understand Cattie's advise "Housebuying is stressful enough, so try to chill a little bit this early in the process." Once the mortgage offer has been received exchange and completion can take place in a matter of days
( but probably more realistically weeks). So it's not really that early on in the process

Still not got our offer, post came, and its just my birthday cards for sunday and Lloyds offering me a £5k personal loan (erm no thanks!!). My BF said he would call the Mortgage advisor on sat or mon if she isnt in.
Being a FTB I was just wondering once the mortgage offer is sorted... what else do u have to wait for.... the searches are being done.... tho the website shows no completion date. I dont really understand all the stages and the website to track the progress is very confusing and doesnt explain what all the stages are just titles
I just want our new house NOWWWWWWW!!
No acting like a spoilt brat at all... honest!!:A0 -
Phone your broker today and everyday until you get your offer.
It might already be through, and you are sitting here worrying.0 -
