Ahh! So confused!

Hi

So this question has probably officially been asked a total of a million times before, but I am soooo confused!

My Mum and Dad are with NTL for their Broadband provider. They are currently on a 2mb connection with unlimited download, for £17.99 per month. This is fine, but the problem is with have been having nothing but hassel with the connection recently. Over the past few months the service has been deteriating and has got to a situation where we are having to fix the problem at least once a day to get the BB to connect again. We know that the problem lies in the cable box, but getting NTL to replace it is a no go situation. So to cut the long story short I am trying to find a better deal out there for my Mum and Dad.

I don't really want them to pay over £22-23 a month if possible, becuase money is a bit tight for them right now and they need a download speed of 2mb to match the current speed. Also as around 5 - 6 people in the house use the internet in the house on various machines it needs to have a large download limit. Calls included would be good to, but not necessary as such.

I thought that Tiscali looked a good option, but I have heard lots of problems from customers about Tiscali since, so maybe not them now! :p

The thing is I don't want to recommend them a rubbish service and tie them to another 12 month contract with someone rubbish; so can anyone tell me just who is a provider who will meet their needs and provide a reliable service???
