Hi chocs
I've just seen you last but one post, well done at the gym! That's more than I could manage at the moment, that's for sure. Great to combine some MS's with a trip to the city too, very MSE!

I'm suffering for it today, though! No pain, no gain I believe is the phrase.
How did you get on at the doctor's?
You must be on the countdown to your holiday now. Have a super time!Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Today has been a busy one. Ds's medical appointment was quite helpful, hopefully some of the suggestions which arose from it will help. We have to try them and see.
I picked up grocery shopping today, but also spotted a bit of a bargain in mr T's - something on our 'to buy' list, so not a frivolous spend, but got overcharged by £30 so had DTD returned. Also bought a few of the jelly pots currently on a glitch, not usually our sort of thing, but the sugar free ones will be good as reasonably healthy snacks.
Received a £4 off £30 spend voucher and 5p off fuel voucher which we shall use when we fill up next.
Also picked up Ds's prescription and took them to the chemist, need to pick the drugs and formula up tomorrow.0 -

I just tend to get the pain and no gain though chocs! I used to love going to the gym and was there 5 times a week or more. Those days of being fit seem so far away now!
Docs were fairly positive in their observations and suggested a completely dairy free diet as well as combining meds in the short term. Hopefully that will work a little better. I spoke to a lovely pharmacist today too who suggested changing the times we give medication to Ds and swapping things round a bit to try and cover him both day and night, medication wise, so will try that too.
It's always a relief to find medical professionals who ate genuinely interested and happy to help; we've had some 'right ones' in relation to my Mother's illnesses in the past and they've left me with a general apprehension where doctors and consultants are concerned!
Yes, looking forward to our break now, we go on Monday. Just have to start packing all the paraphernalia a little person seems to need to take away with them, especially one with reflux!
Hope you have a lovely weekend

What a day. Ds has been unsettled and not very happy all day so, on top of very little sleep again last night, I feel a bit frazzled today!
I received another £10 amazon voucher from a survey site today. That will go towards a Christmas present. I need to start doing more of those surveys again, I've been slack on them lately.
I also managed to turn a few more items out for eBay. Sounds sad, but I'm looking forward to listing them when we get back from our break and seeing what they will earn us!
One load of washing done today, had to tumble dry unfortunately as sun seems to have gone into hibernation for winter already...
I picked up one of the cheap camcorders listed on the grabbit board today. £50 reduced from around £150, plus I had a £4 off voucher which took it down to £46. Not an essential purchase, but one we intended to make in the next few months with Ds here now and at that price, it is unmissable.
We counted the change (and two notes!) in our sealed pot tonight as it was full. We were going to take it to one of those coin counting machines but decided to count it ourselves and save the commission they charge! There was around £80 in there, but we have 'drawn out' £59 which fills the bank bags to put into the bank, £5 to make Ds's moneybox savings up to £20 so we can put that in the post office for him (there's s £20 minimum deposit on his account), and the extra 70p is so we have change for a car park charge next week! We put the remaining £20 or so back in the pot, which we'll work on filling again.
Hopefully a better night's sleep tonight for all.

Back from our break and exhausted so will keep this short and sweet for tonight. Ds not sleeping well due to teething/reflux hell, also very unsettled during the day, so we're feeling very drained.
Hopefully things will get better soon.
Finances: we did well on hols, hardly spent a penny for first 3 days then got stung at a tourist attraction for ridiculous entry fees which we had no idea would be so ludicrously expensive. It was so much, I can't bear to talk about it!
Have come home and photographed all of my eBay pile, downloaded turbo lister and detailed 11 items so far. I have about 15 more to do tomorrow, ready for uploading and listing on Sunday.
I acquired a few more £2 coins whilst away so those, along with some smaller change, has been put into the sealed pot.
Bank account is £50 overdrawn, anticipating it'll be around £120 O/D by payday after car is filled up with petrol and couple of bills are paid. Not going to transfer cash from savings this month to cover it, going to try and manage without doing so as they need to be real emergency savings.
Hubby and I vowed to sit down and look at budget again this weekend.
Go to try and get some sleep now before tonight's fun and games start, usually between 11pm- midnight then every half hour until morning!

I hope you had a nice break even if you are still very tired from lack of sleep. I really feel for you.
Good for you if you can find the energy to Ebay this weekend. I'm still thinking about it. I haven't really got any big, valuable items and wondering if I can face if for things worth a couple of pounds.
I've just taken off any outstanding listing on Amazon. They have been on there for ages and it is time to just get rid of them to the charity shop. I hadn't updated the prices for ages and some of them are now only worth 1p !
As you have probably gathered, I am having another big clearout at the moment. A legal problem with the flat means I haven't been able to move this year, but I am hoping it will soon be resolved. This time around, I am trying to be more ruthless and would rather get through more things than worry about Ebay etc, if you know what I mean. It is quite likely that I will have to sell my flat, go into rented accommodation and then buy so I want to cut down belongings in case they need to go into temporary storage.
All necessary tasks, but quite dull . At least I am not spending money.
Have a good weekend xMortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

good luck with being ruthless Chocs, I've got to that point now too. There's only so much you can keep eh?
I hope the legal issue with your flat is sorted soon, that must be frustrating. At least you're taking steps towards moving by clearing out though.
Well, I've listed 32 items on ebay via turbo lister. It's the first time I've used it and I'm quite impressed, although it took a long time with my little netbook being so slow. I do have about 5-10 other items I could list, but most of those are very seasonal so I've decided to put them away for a later date. I also have 3 larger items that I will list on the notice board at work when I return, as they would be too heavy to post on ebay economically. Hopefully the ebay stash will raise a bit of money to pay off another chunk of the credit card.
Another shop at Aldi this morning cost us £38 - this included two 'luxury items' which were a steal at a quarter of their normal price though and have been put away for when we entertain people nearer Christmas. They were £14, so actual grocery shop was around £24 which included loads of fruit and veg as we had run the cupboards/fridge down before we went away. Petrol also needed this morning, which cost £52.
I had an email whilst I was away to say talktalk are putting our line rental up. I shall be looking around to see if I can spot a better deal when I get chance.

Wanted to come and say hello. Have read through your whole diary today!
I felt dreadfully lonely when I was at home when my children were very young and discovered netmums, they have a local meet a mum board which was a godsend for me, I met a few other mums in the same position, they were all perfectly nice and most are still friends on facebook, it really helped us to get out of the house.0 -
Hi alibob and thank you for posting. Apologies for most of the waffle throughout this diary, it must be quite a boring read to be honest as I have felt like I've been going round in circles this past year!
Thanks for the netmums suggestion. I haven't ventured on there yet, I am a bit frightened they're all of 'yummy mummy' status and I'd be a bit out of my depth. I've lost a lot of confidence these past 5 or 6 years and really struggle to see what I can 'add to a room' if you know what I mean.I may pluck up the courage to venture on and take a look sometime...
