My goodness, you are going for it with the painting! Rather you than me, I used to love painting but after having to do this whole house I never want to see a paintbrush again! Good luck with it all.
Ebay auctions ends on Thursday, I think. I changed two items to BIN's and one of those has sold for £10 + £5 postage as it's quite heavy. I've now been paid for both of the BIN's I have sold now so shall package them up and walk to the post office tomorrow.
I've been shopping again today, but found a fab sale on kid's clothes and bought loads more bits for DS in bigger sizes as well as a few more bits in small sizes for now and the next couple of months, so he is well and truly set for clothing now. The most expensive item I bought was £3!
Off to bed now, I have been up with DS since 4am so am feeling tired now.

Yikes 4am  the joys of motherhood!
Well I have got quite a few jobs done today around the flat. Almost finished off 2 rooms. There are a few little cosmetic bits to tidy up, but the main thing is that I could put everything away, take away the dust sheets, hoover up and it all looks so much better now. I've still got some rooms to go so can't get rid of the paintbrushes yet!
You got a good haul in the shops today. I hope you had a nice sunny day like we had here; it makes such a difference.

Well done on the painting Chocs, sounds like you got a lot done yesterday, you must be exhausted today!
We had a better night last night but not sure if DS is off colour again this morning, he was sick in the night and just wants to sleep so far all morning. Another day of worrying ahead for this first time Mummy!
I've managed to get a load of washing done this morning though and have pegged it on the line to dry as it's such a lovely day again today. I feel a bit annoyed I only have another half load to do which isn't worth putting the machine on for really - I could save money on the tumble dryer electric bill today with it all drying nicely outside!
Just got our mail and am not happy - our council tax bill has gone up £17 a month this year! £17 A MONTH!!! I find that pretty extrotionate. I'll have to adjust the budget to take that into account. More money to find every month - grrr.
I've wrapped one parcel up for ebay and will do the other tonight, will post them tomorrow now.
Hope everyone has a good day

OMG i have to agree that a £17 a month increase does seem very steep, as it is over £200 in the year :mad:Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000

It's very steep considering most have frozen their prices.
More importantly, CONGRATS on the arrival of BabyDFSD! I bet you're enjoying him between worrying about him! All part of being a mama!DEBT FREE 3rd Sept 2011

Yes, I am a bit achy today, but not too bad and worth it to get the painting done.
I hope DS is OK. It must be so hard to know what is normal and what isn't. You sound like you are both doing well and I am sure you are just being attentive; not worrying.
A £17 monthly increase in your council tax is a lot, particularly as I expect services are being frozen or cut. The thing is that so much of council tax gets swallowed up into the meeting the pension fund bill that it isn't transparent where the money is going or where it might be reasonable to make cuts so everyone ends up feeling aggrieved. I haven't had my bill yet and don't read the (awful) local paper so I don't know what sort of increase it will be in my area.
No extra money earned today but only £1 spent on some essential snacks (a late night at work!) I am trying to make the cash in my purse last at least this week.Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Another nice sunny day here today so DS and I went out for a walk this morning and picked up some bits in the LIDL store down the road from us. The fruit and veg there seems very reasonable and I bought a big pack of nappies to try, I bought a large pack of Sainsbury's own brand nappies last week and starting using them yesterday but every one I put on DS leaked and he was wet through each time. I shan't be buying them again, which is a shame as they're a good price.
We went for a very long walk to our nearest village yesterday. It was lovely, but I forgot the way back was all up hill and I was shattered by the time we got home! I had blisters and am aching today - shows how unfit I now am.
Lots of loose change has been put into the sealed pot today, I transferred it from the little money box we have downstairs which we shove all our small change in. Hopefully it will add up to a nice amount when we open it at the end of the year.
Two loads of washing are done and mostly line dried, there's a few bits in the dryer now that are still damp and won't dry outside now as the line is now in the shade. I've also turned the heating back on to the timer today. We've had it on constantly since DS was born, just turning it up or down via the thermostat accordingly so he didn't get too cold at night. I'm sure our energy bill will be colossal but needs must.
I've managed to get out and plant some seed potatoes today too, (DS helped - sitting in his bouncy chair watching me!). My Dad gave us a bag to plant a couple of weeks ago as we grown veggies every year, so hopefully by May we'll have some early spuds of our own, yum.
Oh, and I made a mistake with the council tax increase - it's not a £17 increase, it's a £4 increase! For some reason I had the figure from the year before last in my head of £104 a month, not £114 which we paid last year. That's a lot better than £17 isn't it!

You sound like you have had a nice day
. Home grown potatoes will be lovely - I didn't realise they would be ready so quickly.
I know what you mean about going for a nice walk and then remembering that its a long way back. I'm sure the fresh air would have done you both good.
I've run a few errands today and took some old stuff to the tip which has cleared some space. I haven't been eating so well recently (just been lazy really and ended up eating sandwiches and ready meals) so I decided to do a supermarket shop and buy some fresh food to vary my diet and inspire me.
Can't quite believe its nearly 5pm and I have hardly sat down all day. And it is my exercise class at 8pm . Last week, I came back and just got straight into bedand I suspect it might be the same tonight!
Have a nice evening xMortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

This has been a difficult week. DS has not been well and we've had a few visits to the doctor's and hospital. He's been in a lot of pain and it's been heartbreaking to see, but hopefully we've now turned a corner and things will improve very soon. He's on medication and hopefully it will help until he grows out of the condition in time. Stressful times indeed.
Needless to say I've let things go this past week and have just seen I missed the survey for the extra £10 Amazon voucher which I'm disappointed about but it can't be helped.
I've done quite well on ebay, although had to re-list one item after some problems, but after a few hours listed it already has bids of £46.10! I don't expect it to go for much more than £50, so in total, I would've made about £90 before fees etc.
Will catch up properly tomorrow

Oh, what a week. I'm sorry to hear DS has been ill and you have had the stress of seeing him ill and the hospital again. I hope things improve this week.
I imagine Ebay is a hassle you don't need right now, but at least you seem to be getting a fair price for the items for sale.
