  • well yesterday was a bit of a day. Had the OR interview, and although at first I wasn't sure it had gone well, on reflection it was ok. She seemed very understanding about the fact that I couldn't remember dates for all of the credit cards and stuff. After a long wait whilst she discussed the situation, she has agreed to exempt my car (essential for work, but worth just over £2000). I am going to be sent more paperwork to fill in to assess if I have to do an IPA, which to be honest, I was hoping to have sorted, but hey ho.

I just want to get this behind me and start my new life.

  • Hey I applied for a LILA bankruptcy a week ago and have just recieved the first forms from the accountant in bankruptcy today (form 17). They have also asked me to send in my car registration documents and explain what my two personal loans were obtained for...is this normal practice? My car is old and worth about £700, probably less, but Im a single mum and unemployed at the moment due to ill health,I live in a rural location and have no support so wondering if they will take the car off me?? Or give me the option for a friend to buy it?
Im glad Im finally facing my demons but so worried to, any advice gladly accepted.

  • two weeks since my BR. Still feeling a bit wierd...still don't know if I'll have to make an IPA, my wages vary massively and a bit worried about that still. As others have said, am rather worried about whether the OR will scrutinise every transaction on my bank account. I got a refund from the leccy from my old house of about £100, was hoping to use this for kids Christmas (this will be the only funds for anything other than essentials). Will this be ok, or will OR ask for it?

I got a refund on mine when I changed supplier and the OR was not interested in it, so hopefully your OR will be the same.
