Hi everyone, welcome to the November 2010
Bankruptcy Club.

This club is for everyone who has gone through the process of Bankruptcy during November 2010. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting.

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.

Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.

Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.

*PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE TOO MUCH INFO, THE IS ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT THIS SITE AND TOO MUCH INFO MAY MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CASES, SO KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM, ie USERNAME AND DATE ONLY."

Hi Conf, yep how time flies :) quite a relevant one for me and a few others who went BR in November last year. Did not think it would come around as quickly as it has :)

Time has gone so quickly, not long now and mine will be over 2, it seems strange thinking back to this time last year and how worried I was with everything. Good luck to all who are just starting the journey all I can say is it is not easy but then being in debt is a t worse xx
If you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j

Hi everyone. Unsure if I should be posting on here or not? I sent away my br forms to the AIB last Friday and i'm waiting to hear back. I have applied for br through the Scottish LILA system and one of the rules is that you can't have any single asset worth over £1000, I am the registered kepper of a car my husband bought with the proceeds from another car (that was his). The car is worth £1900 so i'm really nervous if I will be granted br or not. I have sent off the bank statements showing the payment being made for the last car and the money going out for this one so fingers x'd they will accept that although I "keep" the car I do not "own" it.

I am also wondering what happens if I am not granted br? I am on benefits (due to heart condition) so do not qualify for any other form of debt relief so will I just have to carry on struggling to pay all the debtors? I owe over £5k and get £64 per week benefits along with £98 per week child tax credits (which is jointly claimed by my husband) and the usual child benefit. My husband has a trust deed so we are really pretty skint!!

I soooo wish we could get rid of our house and go in to council, I have applied to the council but even if we do get a house the house we are in now (mortgaged by my husband) is in negative equity by about £10k and that would have to be taken in to my husbands trust deed so the chances of Northern Rock letting us sell up by ourselves is unliekly to say the least. We live in a tiny village so we def don't want to be repossesed and have everyone know our financial mess.

    It's all such a mess.

Oh and to top things off we have 2 little boys and i'm pg with twins and what should be a joyous time for us is fast turning in to a nightmare.

cut and paste this in a new thread that way lots more people may look at it and offer help :) All I can say is that nightmares end and a new day (it might be a bit of a storm) is just around the corner :j life has a funny way sorting its self out and as one door closes another opens. This time last year I was in your boat, facing BR and all that went with it, stick around and seek help good luck and try not to worry xx
If you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j
