Hi there everyone,
Im travelling with Easyjet tomorrow and am a little confused about their option to buy extra weight.
Its my company paying for it so I have 23kg paid for. However, I just thought, does that mean that I can have 2 hold bags totalling 23kg?
I ask this because my largest hold luggage is a backpack and I have two small bags, one of which ill take into the cabin, the other I wish to check into the hold....my second smaller bag would not fit INSIDE the larger backpack.
what does their 23kg extra weight option actually mean? do i just have 23kg weight in ONE bag? or can I spread that weight over the large backpack and the small bag?
As ive said, im flying tomorrow so any hel would be great!
Regards
Greg

It looks like you have paid for 1 hold bag with 20kg (free)+3kg (chargeable)extra. If you want to split your 23kg over 2 bags you have to buy another hold bag, but that does NOT give you another 20kgs.
Easyjet cabin baggage as long as it fits their measurements can have 10 or more kilos, you have to be able to lift it up into the overhead locker.
You purchased 3KG extra, that could probably have fitted into your cabin baggage and saved your company some money.0 -
Each passenger who pays for a hold bag can take up to 20kg of luggage. This weight allowance applies to the passenger rather than to the bag so purchasing extra bags is possible but will not increase the allowance. If you think you’ll need to take a little bit more with you, you can buy some extra weight – it’s best to do this online before you fly as the online charges are considerably cheaper than at the airport.
