Hi
I am currently on o2 simplicity pay & go paying £10 a month for 100 minutes and unlimited texts.
Tesco are doing the same for £6 a month.
I am wanting to keep my mobile number so i have got a pac code from o2.
How long does a transfer take? as i am off work next week and i am wanting to sort it out while i am off.
Would it be ok for me to pick up a pay & go sim from my local tesco store and then be able to transfer it onto the sim only deal straight away.

Thanks

Once you've got the Tesco sim, call their CS and give them your O2 pac and the mobile number of you Tesco sim.

A port takes a max of 3 working days. Your O2 sim with die and within a few hours (or so) the number will move over to the Tesco sim. And that's it.

    I don't see why not?

If you need to call in to CS to activate the sim (I don't know if you do or not), you can give them the pac at the same time.

Did O2 tell you that the pac only last for 30 days, after that you need a new one ?

Yes i have to the 17th november to use the code and as i am off work next week i thought that would be the best time to switch over, and i was thinking that if i picked a sim up instore it would save time in waiting for tesco to send me one.
    Thanks for your help.

are you aware that tesco's unlimited text fair usage is 3000 compared to o2's 12000, one of my boys uses loads of texts so i 'm keeping him on o2 but my other son is moving to the £6 tesco sim as he doesn't use as much
