Hoping someone can advise on this!??
I went to Spain for 4 weeks in Aug, and recieved a bill of £1079.00. Before I went I rang orange to get advice relating to phone and internet charges whilst away, I was informed I could use 1gb which is the equivalent of about 1hr so I was told, after 7 days I rang orange to see my phone bill and my internet usage charge I was informed my phone bill was £75 and I also asked why I wasnt able to access my e-mail etc I was informed my roaming was up but I can lift that if i wanted I asked what I had used on internet I was told a couple of pound.
So i lifted my roaming, my internet usage was consistent to that used in the first 7 days.
I paid my phone bill end o Aug just over 100 (my contract is usually £35) then in Sept i received the bill for over £1000, I rang to query and was told i was liable!
I was given incorret advice and figures...plus I have been made redundant...Can anyone advise me on this please?

The billing info you were give was right at the time. While you're roaming you're not being billed by your home network, you're being billed by the network you're roaming on.
That network than bills your home network, that can take 24 hours to a few day to show on their systems. . .
So your roaming costs, probably would have been showing when you called.0
