Copied Auction

I've had a message via "ask seller a question" from an ebay member saying some of my auctions have been copied including the photographs. They gave me one of the item numbers which has since been removed so I cannot trace who the seller is.
These items are collectables and I'd doubt they'd have the same item so what are they up to?
This is worrying me, is there anything I can/should do?

sounds like maybe someone already reported him and his autions were pulled.
However, if you're still worried do a search for the items you are selling and see if any others come up (and if the descriptions and pics look familiar!)It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I am wondering how the person who emailed you knew that the other person had copied you and not the other way round??? If the listing is gone then I would not worry - you could email back the person and ask if they have the user name - they may have watched the item and still haveit on their system. If you manage to get the name ..add them to your favourite sellers and that way you can track if they do it again and report them. If its not there now then it was either stopped by Ebay before the selling stage or someone is going to be disappointed. Another way would be to do a search for all the items you have on sale - you may find another duplicate that way.I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

Probably because they were looking for something, saw OP's listing, and then saw the other one pop up later.sarahlouise210 wrote:I am wondering how the person who emailed you knew that the other person had copied you and not the other way round???0 -
OP means original poster?!?!?! have I finally worked out what the abbreviation means?!?!

I messaged back and asked for more details on the other seller but so far have heard nothing.
Is there some way I can track the seller through the listing number, even though the auction's been taken off?0 -
I should have read my messages before posting on here!
The seller has been removed from ebay. Apparently over 20 other sellers had their items copied word for word and photographs, and all for collectable items listed on a BIN at well below current value.
Devious little %$*+£$.0 -
If you want to keep a track on another seller - go to favourite searches and refine the search for their user name, tick the box for items newly listed and you will get an email everytime they list new items.0

He'll go far.
BTW, it sometimes means "Original Post" (i.e. first post in thread), but you can usually tell that from the context.0 -
and I thought it meant "other person".
I'll get the hang of all this one day.0
