I am told my complaint has been esculated to the highest level.
I now have bank and other charges amounting to several hundred pounds.
Everything you hear about this organisation is true. Don't go anywhere near them.
I'm still having problems with Santander. Direct Debits have now been switched but they haven't touched any of the standing orders. I am tempted to switch the standing orders myself but have been advised by Santander that this may result it them being paid twice. I am now getting regular calls from Santander to apologise for the problems I am having but I just want it to be resolved.
On the positive side they have, refunded bank charges, credited me with the £100 incentive and made an ex-gratia payment of £30 to cover my numerous telephone calls. I am also getting the 5% interest on the account.
Would I go through all this again. I doubt it.0 -

Yes, that describes my experience pretty well.
Don't do it!

Santander/Alliance and Leicester £100 for switching.....absolute joke!!!
Do not do it people, had a 45 minute phone call (£££) resulting in being told that I didn't qualify, even though my D-D have been switched over.

Just had an email from Cahoot to tell me that they are combining all money in your Cahoot and Santander accounts for the purpose of calculating the FSA limit for re-imbursement if they go broke i.e.£50K or £100K for a couple.0

If you want an alternative, go for the Halifax. You get £5 per month each month you deposit £1000. Customer service is good (from Northern Ireland.) Been with them for 5yrs, no problems.0
