 Please take her to clarks and get her feet measured properly and get her shoes that fit her properly and will support her feet and enable her to walk without doing any damage to her feet. Its not just about the length of her feet its also the width too.
Babies feet need re-measuring every 6-8 weeks and having 3 kids of my own I speak from experience when I say they wont last her much longer than a 6-8 weeks let alone a year.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Am i alone in thinking £30 for baby shoes can't possibly ever be considered "cheap"?Proud mum to now-grown-up daughter (Pebbles) and two lovely grandchildren (Roxy & Chip).

No your not alone, but i guess it depends on the shoe, my 12 month old daughters shoes from clarks are £26 a piar but worth it, as their designed properly and there good quality, however someone who spends £30+ on a pair of nike trainers for a teeny baby who just sits in a pram all day wearing them cos mum & dad think they look cute is just a massive waste of money.
Ive had a similar argument with my DF, he wanted ridiculous branded little shoes for our daughter almost from the day she was born but i said no, its a waste until she's actually up on her feet and using them.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

She Doesnt walk yet, so does it really matter that they arn't from Clarks, is this the 21st century ? Rather pay 30 pound for Good quality than £5 from Tesco that are rubbish quality and lasts 1 day! Each to there own.:j0

Yes it is each to their own, my point was aimed at measuring her feet properly or getting someone else to do it, as incorrectly measured shoes can seriously damage a babies feet, even if they ARENT walking yet and are only wearing them. Your better of leaving a baby without shoes as this doesnt restrict the feet from developing correctly, as babies feet are mainly cartlidge and muscle. Babies feet perspire twice as much as adults feet so shooving them in a pair of UG's that arent breathable wont help. But its obvious you have your heart set on the UG's and havent considered how they will effect your child. She has plenty of years ahead of her of wearing trendy shoes, just think about that for a minute as you could end up having to buy her special shoes that are extremely limited in choice. Babies dont like to be restricted, if your worried about her feet getting cold over winter, get a cosy toes for the pushchair, same price and will offer all round warmth.
Theres nothing wrong with shoes from tesco / asda, I have found their quality to be fine for my older children, again depending on what they are for, party shoes that will get worn a few times etc.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
