I don't get any forms from IB to fill in.

Just to add, as I am on IS I come under means tested benefit to which also savings rules applies, but as I was (and maybe still am) on IB it is a non means tested benefit. According to DWP when I have phoned them they class me as I am on IS and not IB - this is very confusing!

The forms are about my OH's dependants, he gets money on his Incapacity Benefit for me and our daughter. The forms just ask for our details and if he still wishes to claim for us.

We did get a letter years ago when Child Tax Credits first started saying that sometime in the future the money for our daughter would be moved to CTC but that hasn't happened yet, my OH still gets an allowance for her on his Incapacity Benefit.

thanks for that anguk, it wouldn't apply to me then as I am single and live alone.

I didn't apply for IS I was just informed that I had been placed on it - I think it was because I had run out of contributions (stamp) over the time, the years I had been working.

For incapacity claims before ESA was introduced, someone would be on IB only, or IS only, or on IB & IS. You can ask JCP what you are on. If you are on IS only, this will be because you didn't satisfy the IB contribution conditions when you first claimed. If you are on IB & IS, this is because your weekly IB entitlement is topped up by £X pw with IS.

This is what my OH gets, IB topped up with IS because his IB alone isn't enough for our circumstances.

It seems like if you get an IS top-up the IS people deal with you instead of the IB people. I think.:D

Thanks stazi, (I'm sorry, it's as clear as mud to me!:D) I will have to look at the letters tomorrow to see if I can find something, but I used to be on IB only up (this is what I received when I first became sick) until a few years ago when they sent me a letter stating that I had been switched to IS. However with every letter I receive regarding my IS it states at the bottom of every letter that any IB I may be entitled to is included.

    I am confused about this!

It sounds to me like you get the same as my OH, Incapacity Benefit topped up with Income Support, because the Incapacity Benefit alone isn't enough for your circumstances.
