No I don't think so but I went through TCB so hopefully should earn about £30 cash back. The double points would have been useful as Sainsbury is only 1 1/2 miles from my door!

Logged on to N/Wide this morning to see if my payment had gone and it had :D My balance had gone down by £275:eek: I am sure this can't be right. £41 knocking £275 off the balance of my interest only mortgage?? If this is right I am even more fired up to overpay:j

£4 odd earned in interest on one of the empty e savings accounts this morning which has been transfered over to the pot.

DH gets his new co car today so wants to go to Morries with me tonight in it. Not sure how we will get the pram in the boot as it is a sporty Astra. He is under strict instructions that we are sticking to the list as he can't resit the offers in Morries;) I need to pop to boots to buy moisturiser and shave cream so will go there instead.

I have been starting to look at jobs and what I want to do when I go back. I could just get a job but I would really like to train to teach in the life long learning sector to teach literacy/numeracy or life skills (if there is such a thing). I don't have a maths GCSE but our local council are offering free level 2 qualifications in numeracy. I used to work in training as well as sales managment in the financial service sector, have business studies and a level 5 managment qualification but I haven't a clue what I could teach or how I go about it. I keep coming back to this when I think about what I want to but don't know where to start. I could do with a career advisor like you used to have at school;) Sorry bit off topic but if I don't get a job of some sort I won't be able to overpay.

Sorted the insurance this morning, over £250 cheaper than my renewal and £12 cheaper per month than I am paying now. Result:D

Ordered series 1 of Dexter from l0ve film so I can see what it is all about as have only seen bits of it before.:)

    Right, tasks for today:
    • Pick up ad paper - It's not out until tomorrow
    • [STRIKE]Boots for shave stuff and moisturiser[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Washing and drying[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Move stuff from DS room to ours as DM staying in there tomorrow night[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Vaccum and dust living room[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Vaccum and dust bedrooms[/STRIKE]
    • Wipe round bathroom
    • [STRIKE]Decide what we are having for tea and defrost if necessary[/STRIKE]
    • Wash kitchen floor
    • [STRIKE]Defrost chicken for tomorrow night's dinner[/STRIKE][STRIKE] Look in cookery books for a new cake recipe using up what I have in[/STRIKE] Double Orange cake :p
First things first, off for another cuppa and a piece of ginger cake while DS bashes the hell out of his activity centre.

    Morning XS

Not sure about the money coming off the mortgage as I've never had IO so I can't compare, it sounds a good amount to come off though!

It's the Boots event today at our local boots - if you spend £50 you get £12 in points back. Maybe worth a look if its at yours too if you have an advantage card.:)

    Have a nice day

That's a month's worth of housework for me XS!

Congratulations on getting the first OP out of the way and on the insurance result! Dexter is well worth sticking with. I'd suggest getting in touch with local colleges as there is a lot of further education funding floating about (up here anyway) to battle redundancy and long-term unemployment. I've done a few gigs on helping people prepare for interviews and on returning to work after a lengthy absence (for whatever reason). They've all been out of hours, great fun and the extra money never goes amiss!

I'm off to investigate TCB as I've been a quidco only junkie thus far! Surely you can't get all the cashback offers from each of them!?

    Cheers,

    Billy

XSpender, I think as long as you registered your nectar card you will get the double points. I wasn't sure I was getting them but they get added to your statement each month.
Good luck with getting onto the course you need. My DH is a huge Dexter fan but i didn't get into it the same.

Isn't there some cashback around for a lovefilm trial at the moment, i need to check it out.

Iris - thanks for the tip about Boots. The points will come in handy as I used all of mine on DBIL christmas present last week.

Hi Billy! I am hoping that I may get some re training paid for as I know ex colleagues have following our whole team being made redundant in April, just after I started mat leave. I think I will start signing on next month and will investigate further. My son is called Dexter, I hope the show won't put me off the name:eek:

CathT I only did the love film free trial because t0p cash back were offering £18 or so for it. Ooo I hope I get the nectar points, I have used all mine on mint choc baileys for Christmas
