Upgrading

Hi. I've had my iPhone 3G for over 2 years now. 18 months on contract and the past 7 on the simplicity 02 tariff.
Due to updates making it really slow I'm ready to sell and upgrade.
iPhone 4 is a bit out my price range so the top 3 on my list are the galaxy s, htc desire hd and the new nokia n8.
I'll be doing my comparison searches tomorrow to find a good deal, and also calling 02 to see what they can offer me.
I basically want to be able to use my phone as a wifi hotspot so I can connect it to my laptop.
I know the galaxy can do this but unsure of the other 2?
I think galaxy is my top choice at the moment. Has anyone got these phones and can you tell me good and bad points?
( I've youtubed a few reviews but doesn't really give much away)

Samsung Galaxy S i have found no bad points .


Good points many including a high volume of free apps a large number of user forums .
Bought PAYG and it was unlocked from O2 shop £330 .
